Blind Items Revealed
July 22, 2013
This still A + list comedian who has gone through periods of wanting to get away from it all loves to spend an afternoon on the dining patio of this popular LA hotel. While his fellow patrons light up a cigar, our actor chain smokes joints. If someone complains, he goes across the street, smokes it and comes back, but that gets tiring.
Dave Chapelle
Um, duh
ReplyDeleteI wonder if he got the weed from a baby...
ReplyDeleteCtfu what you doin out here, baby ?
DeleteHa!
DeleteI'm not falling for the old baby on the corner trick!
DeleteAt least it's not rocks.
ReplyDeleteForget BLU, he needs GRE
ReplyDeleteThat way he can do it 'just about anywhere'.
@Johnny Hey Baby! Stop selling weed, you got your whole life a head of you!!
ReplyDeleteI got kids to feed!!
DeleteWhich reminds me anyone here posting from Colorado?
ReplyDeleteI met Chappelle once. Nice guy, very chill. We didn't know until we left that he covered our entire tab for the evening.
ReplyDeleteAww, and now I love him even more!
DeleteI don't usually like to dispute ratings as it's such a dull conversation. But I would have thought A+ would mean someone whose name is recognised worldwide. Nope. Never heard of this guy.
ReplyDeleteThat said. Smoking a bit of dope? There's worse things in life I would imagine.
Late nite on Comedy Central, the shows still lives on.
ReplyDelete@Violet Enty tries not concern himself over the recognition factor for the dying embers of an Empire.
ReplyDelete@charlie :). If I should die think only this of me. There is one corner of a foreign field that is forever England. ( a corner that has never heard if Dave Chappelle).
DeleteThat damn baby strikes again! Thanks for the reminder @johnny
ReplyDeleteNo problem! Happy New Years!
Deletethis was def previously revealled
ReplyDeleteViolet, I'm European and I adore Chapelle (he was an actor too - Men in Tights and ConAir). He is incredibly insightful and incredibly clever... Possibly too much for his own good.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite sketch of his is the black White Suprematist :)
I love Dave Chapelle & he is a nice guy. I can totally see him covering your bill.
ReplyDeleteI am posting a link to Rachel Kaadzi Ghansah's Believer article about Dave Chappelle here again because it was mentioned in the comments yesterday
ReplyDeletehttp://www.believermag.com/issues/201310/?read=article_ghansah
it goes a long way to explain why someone would walk away from $50M and also because Rachel is a good writer.
So what? MJ is practically legal in Cali. Granted, the heavy funk reek of good bud is a bit much in a social setting, but it's no worse than cigar smoke.
ReplyDeleteI live in the vicinity of his Ohio farm. Everyone in the closest town leaves him alone and aliows him to have a private life. I've met him once - going into a restaurant with a date, who opens the door but DC. He grins at me and we exchange hellos. My date (from out of town) proceeds to freak out. DC was as gracious as could be.
ReplyDeleteI had family out in that area (Yellow Springs) and they said that everyone around there thought he was gracious and lovely. Cool guy.

DeleteWhy on earth would people who are smoking stinky ass cigars complain about weed? It's not going to hurt their health anymore than the cigars are and it smells no worse. Geez.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm really saddened by the guy that doesn't know who Dave Chappelle is considering I don't know half the people mentioned here on a daily basis and I love Dave Chappelle.
