Blind Item #9 - Kindness
This British actor that everyone loves. No, not that one. A little older. Yeah, Academy Award nominee/winner. Good looking guy. Dropped almost $1000 bucks into a homeless man's lap because he was on the way to the airport and leaving the country and wouldn't need it he said.
Jackman
ReplyDeleteWhoops. I thought it said foreign born.
DeleteIan McKellan
ReplyDeleteFirth.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteColin firth?
ReplyDeleteAs in Hugh? isn't he Australian?
ReplyDeleteMaybe Collin Firth? But I am guessing he's the "Not that one".
Anthony Hopkins
ReplyDeleteAlan Rickman?
ReplyDeleteLooooooove Alan Rickman!
DeleteMichael Caine? Ian McKellan is a good guess.
ReplyDeleteDoes New Zealand also mean British? Because I also think it is Ian McKellan, but he's a Kiwi
ReplyDeleteIan McKellan or Patrick Stewart.
ReplyDeletePlease be Clive Owen. Please be Clive Owen.
ReplyDeleteCall me, Clive Owen!
Sean Connery once upon a time was really good looking and everyone loves him. I switching to him.
ReplyDeleteColin Firth-Good looking guy, a "little"older, award winner, British and Nice guy!
ReplyDeleteColin Firth or Clive Owen.
ReplyDeleteJackman is an Aussie.
@TTM - Ian McKellan has a home in New Zealand now, but he was born in England.
ReplyDeleteHe identifies as a Kiwi, my friend was just about tackled by him because she was wearing some native New Zealand art
DeleteYeah but i would think hes still described as a British actor.
DeleteSean Connery
ReplyDeleteIan Mckellan, Alan Rickman, Michael Caine - as much as I love them, they are not "a little older" - they are OLD. :)
ReplyDeleteColin Firth.
ReplyDeleteTake your pick from Fassbender, Cumberbatch and Hiddleston for the younger guys. All 3 are in the same 30 something age range and everyone seems to be obsessed with at least one of them.
Hiddleston is possible, not cucumberpatch.
DeleteHiddleston is possible, not cucumberpatch.
DeleteLiam Neeson or oldman
ReplyDeleteIsn't Liam Neeson Irish?
DeleteNegative. Born in UK. So was Ralph Fiennes who is also English, fine, and aging.
DeleteGee no one guessed Russell Crowe?
ReplyDeleteCrowe is Australian.
ReplyDeleteNice thing to do. On the other hand it is surprising how cheap and selfish some of these multi millionaire show biz people can be.
ReplyDeleteMichael Caine.
ReplyDelete@7 I was joking it says the guy is loved by everyone :)
ReplyDeleteSean Connery is tighter than a ducks arsehole. I say Sir PatStew :)
ReplyDeleteYou guys!!
ReplyDelete* Crowe is a New Zealander - born and raised in New Zealand but lives in Australia;
* Jackman is an Australian;
* McKellan is English;
* No, New Zealanders are not considered British any more than Americans are considered Canadians!
I wasn't sure if British referred to former British Empire, that's all.
Delete@TTM iI like your Former British Empire rules (heh). In this case I change my guess to Lewis and Clark. Preferably Clark. Everyone knows Lewis was kind if a dick to his squaw in between mapping and peace piping with the locals.
DeleteWe're still part of the Commonwealth :-)
DeleteLOL @ uncle sandy! Missed that!
ReplyDeleteI'm still going with my husband Clive Owen. That's mental!
Patrick Stewart was never nominated for an Oscar.
ReplyDeletePlease let this be Clive, Cumberbatch, Fassbender, or Hiddelston so I can show them that good deeds do get rewarded.
ReplyDeleteNot Patrick Stewart. No Oscar noms, and lives in Brooklyn.
ReplyDeleteRickman has never been nominated either.
ReplyDelete@7of11.. lol that's great..
ReplyDeleteChristian bale ? If he finishes Exodus'filming in Spain
ReplyDelete(God I hope it's) FUCK YEAH COLIN FIRTH :D I'm with @Maddie.
ReplyDeleteNot Colin Firth .His 3 last filming were in England
ReplyDeleteFirth was recently in Toronto for the film festival / The Railway Man premiere. (September)
ReplyDeleteDaniel Day Lewis
ReplyDeleteNot that one: Tom H. I think it's Colin Firth or Kenneth Branagh (Oscar moms:4).
ReplyDeleteFirth.
ReplyDeleteCould also be Ewan (Scottish is British)
Is there a way to be notified when so done (VIP) comments on a blind??!! I hate sifting thru them and she always has the dirt!!
ReplyDeleteI'd go with Firth - such a nice guy.
ReplyDeleteOh HEY! epiphany, what about Colin and Mrs. Lucky Bitch Firth for a happy, faithful couple? I've only heard a cheating rumor ONE time about him in all these years and I'm not sure I believed it. Does it count if only one of them is a celeb?
@ninotchka *perks up* Ooo. What was that rumour?

ReplyDeleteSean Connery
ReplyDeleteI cannot see this being Connery. I can see this being Hiddles, but the details don't fit.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess what I'm saying is.., I got nothing.
Carry on.
love love love love love whoever this is.
ReplyDelete@Snapdragon, the rumor was that he was banging someone at work but it was iffy. He may actually be faithful to Mrs. Lucky Bitch Firth.
ReplyDelete@Runswithscissors - Rickman is a sex god. All he has to do is start speaking.
I thought about Ewan too but he's never been nominated for an Oscar.
ReplyDeletei change my guess (Bale in Spain) for Clive Owen for THE LAST KNIGHTS filmed in Czech Republic (Spanish money is Euro like in many European countries where Czech has their own money)
ReplyDeleteConnery is a Scot.
ReplyDeleteDDL is Irish.
Kind gesture, yes. But my question is how did that kind gesture make it all the way to Enty? The sass in me smells PR. Still a nice gesture nonethess
ReplyDeleteIf New Zealanders are British, then so are Canadians.
ReplyDelete@ozzyinch Too right!
DeleteNot sure where you got your information from, but Ian McKellen does not live in New Zealand. He was here filming for the Hobbit, but that's all.
ReplyDeleteJames Cameron lives here - in the Wairarapa (just North of Wellington - and not too far from Peter Jackson); Shania Twain had land here (in the South Island), but that's now in her ex-husband's hands; and Anthony Kiedis had a farm here in the South Island but I'm pretty sure he sold it a few years ago. And the drummer from AC/DC has land in Rotorua (next to the Paradise Valley lion park).
Many, many celebs come down here to get away from it all but very few buy - and indeed to do so, requires approval from the Overseas Investment Office which is a very long and exhaustive process that is not guaranteed to get results, no matter who you are or how much money you have.

ReplyDelete@ninotchka, thanks. Hadn't heard that one. After that Godiva chocolate vodka party thing a few years ago and those super friendly pics with Renee Z, I do admit my mind got to wandering... what a lovely mental pic ;-D
ReplyDeleteThat rumour turned out to be Will Smith NOT Colin Firth.
ReplyDelete@Unknown, thanks! Though at first I thought you meant THIS blind, and as about to say "But Will Smith isn't British!" Ha ha.
ReplyDeletePierce Brosnan.
ReplyDeleteGotta be Rickman.
ReplyDeleteAstounding to see so much knowledge and culture in this thread.
