Blind Item #9 - Kindness

This British actor that everyone loves. No, not that one. A little older. Yeah, Academy Award nominee/winner. Good looking guy. Dropped almost $1000 bucks into a homeless man's lap because he was on the way to the airport and leaving the country and wouldn't need it he said.

  12. Ian Mckellan, Alan Rickman, Michael Caine - as much as I love them, they are not "a little older" - they are OLD. :)

  13. Colin Firth.

    Take your pick from Fassbender, Cumberbatch and Hiddleston for the younger guys. All 3 are in the same 30 something age range and everyone seems to be obsessed with at least one of them.

  16. Nice thing to do. On the other hand it is surprising how cheap and selfish some of these multi millionaire show biz people can be.

    You guys!!

    * Crowe is a New Zealander - born and raised in New Zealand but lives in Australia;
    * Jackman is an Australian;
    * McKellan is English;
    * No, New Zealanders are not considered British any more than Americans are considered Canadians!

    1. I wasn't sure if British referred to former British Empire, that's all.

    2. @TTM iI like your Former British Empire rules (heh). In this case I change my guess to Lewis and Clark. Preferably Clark. Everyone knows Lewis was kind if a dick to his squaw in between mapping and peace piping with the locals.

  33. I'd go with Firth - such a nice guy.

    Oh HEY! epiphany, what about Colin and Mrs. Lucky Bitch Firth for a happy, faithful couple? I've only heard a cheating rumor ONE time about him in all these years and I'm not sure I believed it. Does it count if only one of them is a celeb?

  38. @Snapdragon, the rumor was that he was banging someone at work but it was iffy. He may actually be faithful to Mrs. Lucky Bitch Firth.

    @Runswithscissors - Rickman is a sex god. All he has to do is start speaking.

  39. I thought about Ewan too but he's never been nominated for an Oscar.

  40. i change my guess (Bale in Spain) for Clive Owen for THE LAST KNIGHTS filmed in Czech Republic (Spanish money is Euro like in many European countries where Czech has their own money)

    Not sure where you got your information from, but Ian McKellen does not live in New Zealand. He was here filming for the Hobbit, but that's all.

    James Cameron lives here - in the Wairarapa (just North of Wellington - and not too far from Peter Jackson); Shania Twain had land here (in the South Island), but that's now in her ex-husband's hands; and Anthony Kiedis had a farm here in the South Island but I'm pretty sure he sold it a few years ago. And the drummer from AC/DC has land in Rotorua (next to the Paradise Valley lion park).

    Many, many celebs come down here to get away from it all but very few buy - and indeed to do so, requires approval from the Overseas Investment Office which is a very long and exhaustive process that is not guaranteed to get results, no matter who you are or how much money you have.
