This former A list mostly television actress who is not working right now spent some time in public with her baby. Except for the delivery it is about the only one on time she has spent with her baby. She started with two nannies and now has four. For one child.
JLH
ReplyDeleteBut WHY? Why have kiddos and not spend tine with them? I do not get it.
ReplyDeleteVIP, who has 4 kids?
4 nannies 1 kid @TTM (just like you)
ReplyDeleteTTM, only 1 kid, 4 nannies! Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteJinx@Brenda
ReplyDeleteWhoops, my bad! Honestly, I can read! That also explains sandybrook's guess
ReplyDeleteAs a mom, I can totally see how you read that. I am still with you on the "why have them if you don't want them" part
DeleteAnd that would mean I need 12 nannies
ReplyDeleteEntern hates January Jones and she's in the DM taking her adorable ginger baby on "sunlit stroll". But she's papped with the cutie all the time, and the last BI suggested she might be the wine-swilling mom, so there's that.
ReplyDeleteJLH cant do relationship exercises with the kid yet because the kid cant speak or write yet. Eventually that time will come and they will bond or the kid will run off to live with daddy.
ReplyDeleteJLH makes sense to me. She is so needy that I suspect the nannies are more for her than the baby.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteIf you need full time nanny care, expecting 12 hours shifts from 2 nannies is against labour laws so 4 nannies at 6 hour shifts each or some overlapping 8 hour shifts would be more civilized. There is no indication that all 4 nannies are working at the same time or combinations thereof.
@Tina those were my thoughts
ReplyDeleteAgreed, @Tina . my thoughts were that JLH needed reassurance 24-7 and would hire as many as it took to make her feel secure .
ReplyDeleteI hate "parents" like this. It is so selfish - all they want to do is make a fucking "Mini Me". they have no interest in raising a child. That includes stupid fucking Kimye, who are in Paris together without Ignorthed, once again.
ReplyDeleteThe upside is that she
ReplyDelete(a) didn't hand it off to a stranger
(b) did't sit on a park bench and cry
(c) Didn't go away for a month and forgot to tell the babysitter.
As an aside, having nannies doesn't mean you don't want to raise your kid. Under that argument, if you put your kid in daycare you don't want to raise your kids either. I was raised with nannies and if a parent can't be present full time it provides a stable, permanent adult caregiver to the child.
ReplyDeleteAlso, (shocker!) maybe the mom doesn't want to expose her kid day in and day out to the media (I mean, if it's JLH it's not like she is constantly papped out of the country without her kid).
I think having 4 nannies is more than having your child in daycare. It's not wanting or feeling able to spend time with your kid(s)
ReplyDeleteMeh. We all know how stupid a lot of these people are about everything.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she thought she wanted a kid but once she had one she realized that what she actually wanted was a doll.
I'm glad she can afford the nannies. So many truly horrendous parents can't and the kids are stuck with them.
+1
DeleteFour nannies is excessive for a person who has no job and only one child.
ReplyDeleteJLH was never A list.
Speaking of television, Woo-Hoo. Parks & Recreation renewed for 7th season. Didn't a certain blogger say that show was finished two months ago?
ReplyDeleteI cant even tell you how many otherwise intelligent, educated people
ReplyDeleteIn late 20's and early 30's have children and have NO IDEA HOW TO CARE FOR THEM OR THAT BABIES WLD BE SOO MUCH WORK!! If these people could, they too wld hire 4 nannies because its so much work! Thats what they say-so much work, cldnt sleep last night, and then baby threw up, i need my quiet time-so i totally believe it.
We'll have to agree to disagree. Having full time nannies doesn't mean a parent isn't around or even that they aren't heavily involved in raising their child. It means you have flexibility, you have someone to take care of the mundane aspects of childcare. In a situation where nannies are being used in that way, a child interacts with their parent far more than one who is in daycare 8-12 hours a day.
ReplyDeleteAnd the fact that this actress "isn't working" doesn't mean she's not going to meetings, auditioning, volunteering. Stay at home moms generally don't sit around at home on their asses, despite popular perception.
When Kelsey and Camille Grammer were together, Camille talked about having four nannies. She said they'd rotate, work a few days, etc.
ReplyDeleteLola, you're pushing the "nannies are awesome" thing a little too hard.
ReplyDeleteI never said they sit on their asses. Four nannies for one kid is excessive.
ReplyDeleteYeah, not too sure what "pushing the nannies are awesome thing a little too hard" means. I guess mostly because I didn't realize that's a "thing".
ReplyDeletePip, I never said you said that...I never said anyone said that. I said it was popular perception. In response to what you actually said, unless you have a live in, if you want 24 hour care, it's not excessive (as others have pointed out) people need days off and hourly work requirements limit hours unless you want to pay massive overtime.
And just as a point, nannies CAN be awesome, especially if parents are over workers or shitty.
ReplyDeleteBut I still am not convinced that my opinion, no matter how esteemed, makes it a "thing".
Guiliana Rancic! Enty hinted below a pic of her with her kid that she holds very awkwardly (not motherly at all) he is posting a show blind later.
ReplyDelete@Karen
DeleteI thought Rancic also.
Giuliani AND JLH. But, alas, Guiliana didn't give birth (not slight to surrogacy, just following "facts" of blind...)
ReplyDeleteRaising a child looks like a tremendous pain in the ass, which is why I've had none.
ReplyDeleteSo simple, so effective. I take naps.
Guiliana is not an actress.
ReplyDeleteI'm on Lola's side. If you can afford nannies, go for it. My only caveat is this: please don't tell me how hard it is to be a parent when you have someone else taking care of your kids. I hear that all the time and it is incredibly annoying.
ReplyDeleteJLH's mother passed away about a year or so ago, and they were pretty close. If this is her (and I'm wary because of that A list, but then again the Enterns have thrown the listing out the window), I can see why she might want to have a nanny 24/7 if she's insecure or emotional about not having her mother around to share her experience. I know that when my mother died it really messed with my desire to ever get pregnant.
ReplyDeleteHaving a Nanny is not a problem. Shit, I've been a Nanny for 15 years. But, having a Nanny to cover every second of every minute of your child's day is selfish. Four nannies for one child? Many people think just because they buy their kids things, it makes up for what the children really want - time and attention from their parents.
ReplyDelete2monday friday day/night shift. 2 nannies sat sunday day/night shift...normal if you have money to keep your nannies haooy
