Blind Item #4
This B= list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee was shopping for clothes this week and there were no dressing rooms available. Our actress was in a hurry so got undressed off to the side of the rooms but in full view of anyone who looked. Our actress, who was without a bra, tried on two or three different tops before leaving the store without buying anything.

ReplyDeleteSO? Girlfriend was in a hurry. They're just boobs
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't really have anything that nobody hasn't seen before, if you think about it.
ReplyDeleteDebbie Reynolds will do anything for a little love.
ReplyDeleteHer or Mama Cassidy. (Ttm will burst in to song in 5 _ 4 _ 3 _...)
kinda stupid
ReplyDeleteTypical woman behaviour, esp in the UK and Europe, something that can be surprising if from NA.
ReplyDeleteOr the dreaded common change room, where there may be 10-15 woman, hello Zara!
If a woman wants something, nothing stands in her way, certainly not boobies.
Is B= suppose to be B+? My guess is Renee Z.
ReplyDeleteWinona. Did she steal them and say it was for a role?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone remember the store 5/7/9? They had one communal dressing room. I hated that place.
ReplyDeleteNext time let the stupid store have more dressing rooms. I find it highly annoying that you are trying to try stuff on to spend money that benefits store, and there arent enough dressing rooms, or they dont want to open all of them. I say, right on whoever this is!
ReplyDeleteAw I grew up in Bklyn going to the original Loehmanns where there was one communal fitting room and it was wonderful - a real sisterhood, all body types and age and everybody helping everyone who needed advice. A wonderful warm environment.
ReplyDeleteMsGirl, we too had the communal Loehmans in NC and it wasn't all that great. Bravo to.you however.

ReplyDeletemy mom always talks about woman trying on between the racks…
I hope whoever she is they were real and marvelous!
ReplyDelete@msgirl: Big Ups to Brooklyn!
ReplyDeleteWhere was the original? I only know Loehmann's Plaza on Emmons Ave.
I saw a woman changing clothes in the parking lot of a clothing store, once. Didn't see anything vital, though.
ReplyDeletebflogirl - I do! It was one of the only places I could find size 0 jeans!!
ReplyDeleteCount, It was in the Flatbush area! I know there was another one in the Bronx that was opened a little later.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED that Loehmanns, and believe it or not, that sisterhood was an important component of my impressionable mind. :) Women are not necessarily bitchy!
Sherry, yeah after they spread beyond the originals, it fell down in quality. As for the communal dressing room, maybe it was Brooklyn friendly, haha, since we all had an inferiority complex about not living in Manhattan!
ReplyDeleteMsGirl, perhaps I was just shy because I had a great body but never realized it til it was gone. Now of course Brooklyn is uber cool.
DeleteWow, do you really need a changing room to try a top on? It's not that hard to estimate.
ReplyDeleteI usually just wear it over my current clothes that I have on and take guesses from there. Besides every store have a return policy, if it's too big or small I'll just take it back and get a better one.
@msgirl--
ReplyDeleteLoehmann's in the Bronx was my first thought. Seriously, more stores should do it!
Dame Judi Dench - a slave to fashion.
ReplyDeleteMeryl, you slut!
ReplyDeleteThere are some places where it's 100% legal to go topless in public. Look at that topless paparazzi in NY that was able to sue and WON because police arrested her for refusing to cover up. Girl power.
ReplyDelete@SecretTorture: That is why they have a topless book club in NYC.
ReplyDeleteNSFW Topless Book Club Blog
Those communal dressing rooms always smelled. Yuk.
ReplyDeleteAmy Adams
ReplyDeleteSherry - I KNOW! we were hot haha All the expensive parts of Bklyn were slums then, run down buildings with broken windows, was definitely the hood. I used to go to ballet at the Bklyn Academy in Park Slope!
ReplyDeleteMs. Girl are you referring to the Loehmans across from Sears and near Fkatbush Avenue? That was my hood! RIP Loehmanns.
ReplyDeleteHipsters have killed Brooklyn.
ReplyDeleteCommunal dressing rooms? Sounds like a personal hell of mine! I'm ridiculously shy about such things, which is weird because nobody else in my family is.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I don't care if someone else is not. I think it's ridiculous that women going topless is criminalized. It's just boobs, and it makes no sense.
::Rant:: The difference between men and womens' chests is flat vs. curve. Women's breast curves can be on full display, but nipples have to be covered. But heavier men with breast tissue, their chests can be completely uncovered? Illogical. And I'm female!
Is Kate Hudson a nominee?
ReplyDeleteYes, Sandy - Loehmanns is going out of biz! They just started the going out sale in the last week or so. Was kind of shocked to hear that
Zeeky, you're such a moob-hater. What did Simon Cowell ever do to you? ;p
ReplyDeleteZeeky- amen, sister! But, on behalf of my fellow a-cuppers (and less), there are a lot of men who belong on the curve side, while we embrace the natural flatness... So, where does the logic go then?! Simon Cowell and Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen all have bigger cup size than I do! But, I am forced to wear a very unnecessary over-the-shoulder-(no-) boulder-holder...
ReplyDeleteTITS? REAL LIVE GIRL TITS? OMGWTF? Yeah, nobody cares. I spent good portion of my 20s and half of my 30s braless or topless. Why are people still so freaked out about boobs?
ReplyDeleteAmy Adams. Because I like her and think she'd feel the same as me. NBD.
who cares.
ReplyDeleteThis is Marisa Tomei who never wears a bra and is feeling young and free these days with a younger boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteOr Chloe Sevigny who I just saw in a shop in my neighborhood and she was not wearing a bra.
