Blind Item #4

This aging yet always A list rock star who had his best years when still part of the band has tested the open relationship part of his marriage to the limits. Our singer has a girlfriend he met through his daughter and there is word she may be in the family way.

I was going to suggest Jon Bon Jovi, but I'm pretty sure he and his wife are still together ...

... Richie is no longer married

... Can't think of anyone else who has left a band and is still married ...

  2. Hahahaha I know it's not right but I pictured Ozzy.

    1. I like that guess. Don't they have an open marriage? If so, I think you're right

  4. Rod Stewart? You could argue his time with the Faces were his best years. And this sounds like something he might do. Daughter would be Kimberly Stewart.

  5. I need to apologise in advance.

I am sorry to put this image in your brains and I am so disgusted by it... but what about Gene Simmons? He was way more popular while with KISS.
    His Daughter Sophie is 22...
    EWWWWW... I KNOW!!!

  6. Yea, I was going to say Gene Simmons. I think he only married Shannon Tweed with the stipulation of an open marriage.

  7. I'm also thinking Gene Simmons. He had an open relationship with Shannon Tweed for decades and I'm sure that didn't change when they finally got married.

  8. I thought it was Gene too. Sting prefers the professional Asian hookers and threesomes with Trudie if what I've read over the years is true.

  9. Thank goodness you ladies did not cover me in insults for the disgusting mental image... I need a drink to recover!

  10. BONO.

    Come on people.

  11. @Murphy - OMG the U2 broke up?!?!?!?!
one of my faves in the 80's... I need a moment...

  12. Steven Tyler was my first guess

  15. Gene Simmons.

Rod got the bulk of his fame as a solo artist.

Sting also had a very successful solo career.

Bono may be messing around on his wife, but he doesn't brag about it to the public. Besides, isn't U2 still technically together?

  16. U2 hasn't broken up, in fact, they just finished recording their latest album.

    @L, {shudder} I think I need a mimosa after that mental image!

  17. From what I saw Shannon and the kids say after the wedding, they'd kick Gene's ass if he reverted to his old ways.

  20. It Sting, no doubt.
So, my search for a happily married, monogamous couple in show biz has hit a snag. I had Mark Harmon and Pam Dawber on a short list of possibles who may fit that description, only to be informed yesterday that Mark has a longstanding mistress. Anyone else know if this is true? It was suggested that Jaime Curtis and Christopher Guest might fit the bill, until I found out they essentially live separate lives, since he inherited his English Baron title and lives in the UK now. So my search continues. Anybody with any info on 1)Harmon's mistress, or 2) a couple who may meet the criteria, please, let me hear from you.

  21. Suspects are too numerous to list here. Until news breaks on pregnancy (if it does) its all just guesses.

  22. This is absolutely Beatle Paul. The clue is the phrase "family way" Paul did a soundtrack in the movie "Family Way"in 1966

  23. Robert Plant has a daughter the question is if he is married to Patty Griffin.

On the subject of Bono, he is a sleaze! I don't know how is poor, long-suffering, wife puts up with it.

In 1996 I was at the same restaurant as him and Christy Turlington, who looked very much like a couple. Both were in Melbourne for various things - him a concert; her some promotional thing. I then saw them the next day at the zoo (everyone seemed to go to the zoo for a picnic on a Saturday morning back then). Again, looking very much like a couple.

I imagine him to smell like old booze and stale cigarettes.

I don't think this would be Rod Stewart - Rachel Hunter really broke his heart when she left and I think he realised for the first time at the point just how awful it felt (even though nobody else was involved).

He seems quite happy with Penny; I'm sure they'll last the distance.

  26. off topic - Rod Stewart's interview on Howard Stern recently was pretty amazing.

  27. I agree with McCartney. when I read "the band" all I could think of was band on the run

  28. David Lee Roth? Doesn't say the band broke up....

    Is he married with kids?

  29. Commenting just to say how much I despise Bono. UGHHHHHH.

That being said, my guess would be Gene Simmons. Did anyone watch that reality show he did? I felt so badly for Shannon Tweed as Simmons was so not into the idea of being married and committing to one woman.

  30. I thought of Steven Tyler first, too But I can't remember if he's married or not.

  31. I would be disappointed to hear Sir Paul would be so careless about spawn. So would the Queen!

    ReplyDelete
  32. What about Ringo Starr?? Is he still married???

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ringo has been married to Barbra Bach (sp?) for decades..

Sadly the way this is worded, I have to go with Gene Simmoms on this.

And *sigh* I wanna have Sting's baby.. ner'mind I am over 40 and had my tubes tied.. *snort*

  34. I'm on the Steven Tyler train. He has beautiful celeb daughters, was best when he was with Aerosmith, and in recent years has royally screwed himself and his life up with substance abuse and bad choices.

Also, NO WAY was Sting at his best when he was with the Police. His solo career has been huge and successful for decades.

    ReplyDelete
  35. U2 is still together. I don't think Steven Tyler is married at the moment. Sting has had more success solo. Springsteen doesn't have an open marriage. Plant and Griffin aren't married.

That leaves Sir Paul and Skank Gene. For the kid's sake, I hope it's Paul.

epiphany, sorry about Harmon. I heard about his mistress years ago. Classic scenario, he has just the one and he's not leaving his wife for her.

I didn't know Guest had gone back to England - thanks for the info. What about Paulina Porizkova and that guy from the Cars? The only other one I can think of is maybe Iman and David Bowie - only because I never hear anything about them playing around on each other.

  36. KISS is still a going concern, although they are not the same without Peter and especially Ace (and Paul has stated that Ace and Peter are welcome to appear at their HoF induction- in a tux. No makeup. Douche!)

But if we ascribe Enty fuzziness to this detail, sure. A$$hole Gene.

  37. There is no way Paul McCartney has that complicated a personal life. Plus he is boring as fuck. After the fiasco with the one legged succubus his children would lynch him.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sir Paul is boring as fuck, you're right about that. I must admit that I miss the one-legged succubus from a purely entertaining bitchery standpoint.

Can't she snag Berlusconi or Putin or Mel Gibson or something, just for our amusement?

  39. NOT Steven Tyler as he isn't married. Bono is always A, but who cares? Gotta be Jon Bon Jovi.
