This A list designer slapped one of the models that was going to walk in his show. She said she wanted to walk in a different show so he slapped her and knocked out a tooth.
This is totes BS. First off...models are booked by their bookers and even if they wanted to do another show, they would never walk up to the designer and tell THEM that. That's a good way to get slapped! And then badmouthed/blacklisted. Plus, it's about the $$. I doubt it matters terribly to a model which show she is walking in. She goes where she's booked. UNLESS this was a household-name model and the show was running super-late and causing her to potentially miss next show she was booked for or something. But even then, she'd call her booker or agent to figure out what to do. Also...for the record, Diane Von F. is pretty nice (my sister worked for her and Isaac Mizrahi and Nicole Miller, etc. during her NYC fashion career in 90s).
I hope it's Kunty Karl!!
ReplyDeleteKunty Karl!
ReplyDeleteKunty Karl looks too weak to lift his arm high enough to slap anyone. I could better imagine him telling someone, "Take my hand and slap her with it."
ReplyDeleteKaren, that is gold. Well done
DeleteBest comment I've read on this site yet!
Delete@Karen- exactly how it went down.
DeleteI'm going to believe that's exactly how Uncle Kunty did it. 😄
DeleteKarl is a tool.
ReplyDeleteKunty Karl wouldn't show at New York Fashion Week would he?
ReplyDelete@Derek You're right! No Kunty Karl in NY :(
Delete@Sugar and @VIP
ReplyDeleteWho's bringing the coke this time?
I can't stop jinxing!!!
DeleteYep, seriously he needs an ass whooping. Evil man.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Kanye wishes he was an a list designer.
ReplyDeleteCalvin Klein on another bender???
ReplyDeleteI guess Marc Jacobs he seems like a tool (though I love his clothes)
ReplyDeleteIs he tall enough to reach a model's mouth?

ReplyDeleteHow loose was this tooth of hers?
ReplyDeleteWell, pick from Tommy Hilfiger, Zac Posen, Micharl Kors, Ralph Lauren, or Calvin Klein
ReplyDeleteWhoever it is, he should be brought up on charges. He won't, though, because the girl will never work again as a model.
ReplyDeleteKaren! You made me pee a little!!! Perfect visual!
ReplyDeleteI hope the model was that Cara Delivingewhatever, she looks like she could use a good slap.
ReplyDeleteShe sounds maybe, possibly, a wee bit insufferable for saying what she said.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, the designer is a total piece of shit. If you don't like your employee's attitude, fire them. Hitting is absolutely unacceptable.
One can slap a tooth out?
ReplyDeleteKaren, hikarious! Next time she'll keep her loose -tooth mouth shut and do what shes told!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe any of this.
ReplyDeleteFirst, models are super tall.
Second, designers are teeny.
Third, a slap knock out a tooth?
Find me a 6 foot-plus tall male designer with a violent streak and I'll eat my words.
@Reno: All I can think of is a post and crown coming out.
ReplyDeleteCan't be NYFW 'cause most of their casting is done closer to the shows, hell, they're still sending out invites!
ReplyDeleteA missing tooth would add to Cara Delevigne's cracky look and trashy behavior, just sayin'
ReplyDeleteI could imagine Diane von Furstenberg doing this, for sure!
ReplyDelete#SoSickOfHearingAboutHerStupidWrapDresses !
can't be Karl he doesn't do New York.
ReplyDeletenot Zac or Michael Kors.

ReplyDeleteSometimes you gotta let him know who's paying them.
