Ronni Chasen Questions

Three years after her death, the LA County Coroner was finally forced to release the results of the autopsy that was performed on PR person Ronni Chasen. Ronni was shot three years ago on her way home from a premiere (far right) and after party. The Beverly Hills Police Department has always said that Ronni was shot by a homeless man in a robbery attempt gone wrong.

The autopsy report says that a car drew up next to Ronni and fired four shots at her through her car window. Huh, and it was exactly four wounds that were found in her body. The gun used by the shooter was apparently stolen from a police officer's house. Huh. Surprising no one, the BHPD could not be reached for comment from any of the news organizations that tried to contact them. They prefer their version of the story where they pretend like they did a good job.

If they did such a good job they would not have done everything they could to keep the autopsy from being made public. They still haven't explained what a homeless guy was doing on a bike ten miles from downtown with a gun and how they managed to kill him before he could answer any questions even though he offered no resistance.

  2. Seriously, SOMEONE must have some idea of what really happened. The DEFCON4 level of secrecy makes no sense.

  3. so was it a hit ?

  4. Don't we remember the blind not too long ago about the hip-hop guy who killed a publicist because she walked in on him in an intimate encounter with another guy? or something like that. I'll try to find it. Popular guess was diddly.

  5. Well, if it was Diddy, his hitman has his hands full with the FBI investigation and all of us

  6. First a car pulls up ( initial report) police say bicycle, now its back to car. Guy who bikes conveniently kills self when cops come to his place to serve warrant on another issue. Guilty! Case closed.

  7. Diddy probably used the same cop that killed Biggie to do this hit too.

  8. This just seems shady as fuck. /stating the obvious

  12. This does seem reminiscent of the Biggie murder....

  13. It was a hit by hired gang members. BHPD was paid to cover it up.

  14. They suspected she or one of her clients were money laundering or in some art fraud deal.

  15. Of course it was a hit. Wasn't there a BV about some A++ rapper who controls everything, had her killed?

  17. Gimme a break. Gun stolen from a cop's house??? Somebody need to get Serpico on the pigs out there.

  18. I find it nigh on impossible to believe that a homeless dude could pop four rounds, and have all four connect. Stolen cop gun means 9 mm bare minimum; more than likely a .40. Ignoring stress, adrenaline, etc, he managed to control recoil and put all four on target? Riiiiiiiiight.

    1. One Eye- but we already know he had nerves of steel, because all you state here happened only after he'd stolen a police gun, from the cop's house no less.

So, nerves of steel, right up until the police came knocking about a completely different matter. Then he turned to jelly.

It all sounds perfectly plausible - likely even! Surprised it doesn't happen more frequently!

  25. This is eerie-just yesterday i was thinking, I wonder what happened with that agent who was shot. Totally agree, this is shady as hell. Like above said, what homeless person, on a bike, just happens to know where she is at that exact moment and gets off 4 rounds that hit home? And then kills himself? C'mon now.

Sorry I don't know who to link to it...this is one of my favorite photos ever. I LOVE it. It's precious moments like this photo that make reading gossip blogs solo satisfying. I still remember the joy I got from this pic years ago...sigh.

    Happy holidays!

  28. As someone who worked with Ronni Chasen's agency and her folks, I can tell you this wouldn't be anyone in hip hop. What Ronni did was handle the award marketing campaigns for composers, so Ronni was all about the film scores, creating the buzz and getting them nominated come award season.

She would have little reason to be involved with anyone in hip hop at her level.

  29. "I find it nigh on impossible to believe that a homeless dude could pop four rounds, and have all four connect."

Exactly. It was someone shooting from her right, through her passenger window. If it was just one person then it had to have been someone shooting one-handed at her upper chest in profile ten feet away in a moving car, with the shooter controlling his/her vehicle at the same time. All rounds hit her in a very tight target grouping in her upper right arm and back. Helluva shot for even a well-trained pistol shooter. Had to have been a second shooter, which makes it a murder conspiracy deal.

  30. Oh well then, since you two commandos have deemed it impossible. ..

  31. The shots were aimed from a higher angle. Into her passenger window and then across to the driver. Ex. I shot hit in the ' vaccination shot spot' on the upper right arm and exited around 4th rib on the left.
So, how low were the windows of her car? What did she drive?
The bullets were copper jacketed and of middle caliber ( that's the only mention of a cop in the autopsy report, lol.
Who said it was a police officer's gun?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Just Enty's report, that I saw, @Steampunk ref the gun being a police officers' one. Unlike everyone else, I'm unfamiliar with the case.

Maybe there's a lot less to it than it seems, but this story has the hallmark of a really sordid Hollywood classic.

  33. The shooting took place at midnight at the sunset boulevard and Whittier intersection while she waited at a light to make a left turn.
    Possible caliber: 9mm hollow point

  34. and LA is like the LEAST bike friendly city in America..no one rides bikes downtown L.A.

  35. I saw some show a few weeks ago featuring her death, Brittany Murphy's and some poor girl Ashton Kusher was dating who was killed by a serial killer. He went to her house and knocked on her door, waited while she lay there dead. Ugh, that creeped me out. Ashton was a suspect for five seconds or so.

Anyway, the host talked a lot about how Ronnie's car hit this light pole at this speed etc. He had all these details about how things didn't add up how the police said they did. It was interesting but sad.

  36. When my BFF first read the story, he said "So who was this guy, a Spetsnaz veteran?" As the others have opined, there is so much wrong with this story. She was, IMO killed in BH because the police there are nothing to write home about.
