I put on my bikini last night and did cartwheels through the Target parking lot while chewing Hubba Bubba and singing 'Brand New Key'. I also have no idea why.
Ever sit back with a nice cup of coffee or Chai Tea (Oh my God, so good...), do the "It's a Wonderful Life" thing and wonder how the world would change if you weren't in it and then realize absolutely NOTHING would change at all?
Hey, Violet! I am actually making one of those right now! I didn't even know you could do it yourself, but I found a recipe in the best bread book ever
@Lulu G, try the Cook's Illustrated recipe. CI/America's Test Kitchen basically taught me how to cook in a no-fail way. I haven't tried this recipe, but might for a Dirty Santa party this weekend.
Hey, pollywoggo, I have a subscription to Cook's Ilustrated, I will check it oot. The only thing I don't like about CI is that the add baking soda to mush up most meats. Almost every recipe, it seems. I like to read the magazines like novels.
@Pollywoggoo, Thanks, that looks good. I was thinking more of something without fruit but cherry and chocolate is always a winner. I like CI/America's test kitchen and their magazine is awesome as well as their shows on PBS.
@Violet, @TalksTooMuch - best bread book we have found is called Flour Water Salt Yeast. Totally changed up how we made bread at home. But now our bread is not only delicious hot out of the oven but after too. Highly recommend it.
The best bread book I have ever read is called The Tassajara Bread Book, it was written by an amazing hippie in the 70s. I will check out your book, can never get enough cookbooks!
