Keri Russell Is Getting A Divorce
Just a few hours after I wrote about how it looked like Keri Russell was headed for a divorce her rep told Kneepads that the couple of seven years had split and it happened last summer. You don't really see Keri Russell with her kids that much. She never really has seemed the hands on parent type. The digging will be done to see when the last time she saw them or was photographed wit them and then she will probably show up with both of them at some place where she can be conveniently photographed with them looking very motherly and her soon to be rich ex-husband not in the frame. From what I can piece together it looks like he has the kids full-time so he will get a lot of child support and spousal support and she has definitely gone from no work to lots of work since they have been married so I'm assuming she will be paying at least $250K a year to him and it might be closer to $500K. Meanwhile Keri will be free to pursue that relationship she has been keeping under wraps for several months.
Wasn't there a BI on this site about a B list tv actress who was dating someone who didn't like/want kids, so she was foisting them off on their dad?
ReplyDeleteGood call Ent.
ReplyDeleteI am just not feeling snarky this morning. If Keri seperated from her husband ladt summer then I see no reason for her not to pursue another relationship. As far as custody, I may get flamed, I've noticed alot of highly successful individuals do not always have the time to devote to full time parenting. Should it be the case that the hubby had custody, then good for her placing the needs of her kids above that of her public image.
ReplyDeleteoh for sure I think he's a carpenter
ReplyDeleteThe gloating!
ReplyDeleteI am Cleo. If she'd rather be famous than a mother then best her husband have the kids. Best parent isn't always the mom.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it has to do with fame, per say, but a successful, well-paying career where the parent contributes a significant income. Some of the most successful people I've known, and are not famous, have the most dysfunctional family life and yet the lifestyle for all seems more important. (Not arguing, just disagreeing :-))
DeleteSometimes it just doesn't work out and it's time to move on. No need to be so gleeful about it. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteWhy is she being judged for not being a full time mom? HE is their parent too. Perhaps there are other factors which led to the decision of him being primary caretaker. Or maybe he WANTED to be PC and she saw no problem with it. I know four dads who are/ were PC.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I feel the item is kinda judgy about Kerry "not seeing the kids much".
(Eye roll)
I think i just the other day saw her with her little nugget in a bjorn on the corner in NY. Just bc she isn't photographed with the babies, doesn't mean she doesn't see them. I mean how often do we see her get paped anyway.

ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteu guessed she was getting a divorce after the robbery story from yesterday. several people noticed that her husband wasn't at the home at the time and now u are pretending you had some sort of exclusive. keep reaching
keri isn't papped much because she isn't a big name. no conspiracy there.
Uh maybe that wasn't her. Haha. I just looked and she had her 2nd baby in Dec. last year. That's a pretty big baby to be caring in a bjorn. I now step back and let you continue to judge her. : )
ReplyDeleteSherry, I think that's what Cleo was getting at. And I don't think it's necessarily a negative statement on her character that she is the breadwinner of the household and so is giving primary custody to the father.
ReplyDeleteIt's a sensible move that a loving mother would make. She shouldn't be condemned for not taking custody just because she's the mother. Since when was a vagina a qualifier for a good parent?
Oh hush, @Disco, with that uncomfortable truth! :D
DeleteNobody knows what the arrangement will be yet, it's all speculation, so quit fussing!
ReplyDeleteAwww. I was hoping it was just a snoring problem.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteShe is often seen at dinners and events with her Co-star on the American's. Can't hate too much, he is pretty hot.
ReplyDeleteIf the female breadwinners don't stand up for each other, who will, Rhysie? No reason to tear each other down when we've worked so hard to get to this type of societal change.
ReplyDeleteIt also gave me a chance to ponder on "vagina qualifiers" as a final round to decide who goes on to the Sex Olympics.
LOL @ vagina qualifiers!
ReplyDeleteHere's the thing - Entern constantly dumps on Jen Garner and Allyson Hannigan and any other celeb who is papped with their kids for "calling the paps to photograph them with their kids." In the case, Keri Russell is getting crap because she's never papped with her kids. Is there some barometer of pap-acy that equals good parenting?
I think it's a damned if you, damned if you don't with celebs.
ReplyDeleteDon't get photographed with the kids and your a bad parent. Get photographed with them and than they are just props.
Perhaps as a good parent, she is trying to keep her kids out of the spotlight and give them some sort of stability. Perhaps that means spending the majority of their time, with their dad. She is filming and on set currently.
The very last pap shot posted of Keri before yesterday on this site was her on a bike with her son. It's from Oct 29 of this year. Guess you won't have to dig too deep to find a picture, but only to make up bullshit stories.
ReplyDeleteIts too bad that a crime committed against her had to out her private business.
ReplyDeleteI think Enty's smugness comes from being told by several commenters that her sleeping in the basement when her husband and kids weren't there was indicative of NOTHING.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised, but had hope for better for her. She seemed really grounded.
I'm new here. Who's Kneepads? :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome, @Blonde Galore! Kneepads = People magazine. :)
ReplyDeleteI have no problems with the arrangement either unless she was pretending to be mother of the year. Then I can understand the post.
ReplyDeleteThe smartest thing you can do is reconize your limitations. If mothering is not your thing, leave them with their father who, in this case, seems to like it.
ReplyDeleteUmm I don't think we need to be bashing her mothering since we don't know anything about this as fact. This is the same woman who walked around everyday wearing her baby in a sack attached to her when he was a little one. Someone goes from practically attachment-parenting to abandoning them totally? Lets take all of this with a few grains of salt. And trust me, I'm not her biggest fan but if someone were bashing me as a mother I would become enraged and possibly homicidal :)
ReplyDeleteSomebody get ur-Enty back to comment on celebrity divorces. The spousal support for a marriage of less than ten years won't be nearly that lucrative, and she's likely not making enough currently to warrant child support in the $20K/month range. She's the star of a small show on a small cable network, so making nowhere near Kutcher money. $500K/month combined SS and CS is ludicrous.
ReplyDeleteMy Aunt who has kids in L.A told me that she sees Keri's husband with the younger child ALL of the time but hardly ever the older one. Perhaps that have split up the kids or something?
ReplyDeleteIf she's got something going on with Matthew Rhys, I'm green with envy.
ReplyDeleteRead somewhere in a recent article about how she refuses to call her children's' caregiver a nanny. Wtf they care for your kid while you work. If they want you to call to them Lady Cool Thin and Beautiful, Ruler of all Nine Kingdoms!!! you..ok if your nanny asks you to call her that, take your kids and get the hell away from her.
ReplyDeleteKeri seemed a little desperate to downplay the nanny's importance in her kids' lives in the article, now I see why.
