One of the greatest tips I ever received was the tip that ended up being the blind item about Demi Lovato having sex with a guy in a room full of people while she was wasted out of her mind. A few months later she was in rehab. There is no question that Demi was rock bottom when she went to rehab. She didn't just do the 30 day thing and walk out the door. She stayed for what seemed like forever. She did it on her own and not because of a court order. She missed an entire holiday season to get herself straight. She lived in a sober facility for a year just to get everything straight. Has she slipped? Yep. Will she admit it? Probably not. You know what though? She got right back up and didn't let that stop her and I think she is one of the great success stories of the last decade. I think she should be really proud of herself and everything she has done except letting Wilmer Valderrama back in her life. Get him out and keep him out.
The reason I say all of this is that Demi is interviewed in Nylon and says she doesn't want to be known as the Disney chick who went to rehab. I don't think people think that about her. I think people think of her as someone who works hard everyday and doesn't act like a diva and is someone that people can look to for inspiration when their life is crashing down around them.
By the time Miley gets finished going to rehab five or six times and gets married five or six times, Demi will be out of that particular conversation and people will just be focused on what she has accomplished.

ReplyDeleteI took this to mean she "fell off the wagon" but sobered up and is continuing her sobriety. Not that she's using and preaching. Good luck to her bit she really needs to kick Wilmer to the curb. Isn't she out of his age range now? You don't get to the bottom without users and abusers around.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm not in her target group but the only thing I ever thing of Demi Lavato are that when someone guesses Demi for a blind I wonder which Demi they mean. There have been several with the drugs/partying that could have been either.

ReplyDeleteEven though Demi was never forthright about why she went to rehab with the general public (I'm sure Mickey Mouse threatened to slit her throat if she did), I think its amazing that she took responsibility for herself and resurrected her career. She could have turned into a has been really quickly. She'll fall of the wagon again (Wilmer will ensure that) but hopefully she keeps getting back on.

ReplyDeleteI like this girl. Joe Jonas was a creep to use her and Miley in an attempt to detract from his own fall into heavy substance abuse. At least Miley and Demi are upfront with their issues, I'll give them that.

If you have to go back to rehab, do it. Recovery isn't a one-time deal -- it's an every day decision. Decide to do what's best for you,and forget the idiots.

ReplyDeleteThe anvil about Miley is what this is really about in my very humble opinion. Destiny Hope is not on a good path right now.
I've been posting solid for a year about Demi, she has had several slips, and I hope Enty's insider is more accurate than mine, because I've heard the same thing as someone posted above-that with Wilmer back in her life full time, she's not doing great. Hope she gets it together a talented and sweet girl. As for the below the belt Miley comments- as always here. You don't have to tear someone down to build someone else up, Enty.
