Blind Items Revealed

July 1, 2013

A former assistant sent this in, and I loved the way she wrote it so much, that I kept it pretty much as is, except for my list additions.

I work in fashion and a few years ago was working for a designer named ____________( who is amazing by the way and probably the nicest boss I've ever had). Really big. Loved by Vogue. Well respected.
Anyways she got a call from this former A list celebrity/singer who is now still an A list celebrity and working on that singing thing again's assistant who said that our celebrity loved the designer and wanted to meet with her to discuss possibly designing some couture pieces for her. The designer had done some tie dye tights that our celebrity said were "genius". Which they were.

The designer went to the celebrity's house which was huge.
Our celebrity was in bed and called the designer in. Our celebrity was completely manic and jumped out pulling open the doors to an enormous cabinet that was completely full of pill bottles. This cabinet was 6 foot high and packed to the rafters with nothing but pills. She took a few handfuls and ran into the adjoining room telling the designer that she was working on designing a collection that was really punk.

In the next room there were rails and rails of vintage dresses, vintage might be the wrong word...try 18th and 19th century dresses that would be worth at least 10 grand a piece.
And our celebrity had cut them all up. Huge ballgowns probably worn by royalty were cut to the knee and had patches of random fabrics glued and half stitched on. She warbled on for an hour about working together. She kept leaving and downing more pills and going off on tangents. The designer really wanted to work with her. But after 5 hours of "speaking" with our celebrity she finally left after the celebrity passed out cold on the floor in one big thud.

The designer said she thinks the dresses that had been destroyed probably cost in excess of 1,000,000 pounds ($1.5M).

  1. Well at least I know who one of them is. I bet that part was easy peasy

  2. Yeah, I think everyone guessed her pretty much.

  3. Courtney Love is a list?

  4. Anyone remember 200 Cigarettes? I completely forgot Courtney Love was in that, and hooked up with Paul Rudd. Lucky Woman...wasted talent.

  5. I mourn for those dresses, history destroyed. How did she ever get her hands on them in the first place.

  6. As a history major and a lover of past fashion, this gives a major case of the sads. Those dresses represented thousands of hours of intricate hand stitching and embroidery by an entire class of women, mostly working for very substandard wages under bad lighting. It was a dreadful job which produced items of great beauty, thoughtlessly destroyed by a pillhead. Arghhh.

  8. Courtney is a disgusting pig in so many ways. Maybe a murderer too. She and J Zed should get together and go on a killing spree.

  10. Is this a recycled blind? I'm positive I've seen it here before.

  11. its not a recycled blind it was posted but everyone knew the answer was Courtney Love

I'd like to think some of the dresses weren't originals but replicas of originals.

Courtney was trying to get a design line launched don't think it will come to anything.

  12. Emma Cook should have taken legal action against Courtney for this. Unbelievable that anyone would let somebody else cut up over a million dollars worth of dresses and leave it at that.

  13. @Krissie they were Courtneys dresses---vintage dresses made long long ago---not ones Emma designed herself.

  14. Way to waste her Cobain inheritance. Thank goodness their daughter had a trust fund

  16. @Derek Harvey oh, okay, I read the "rails and rails of vintage dresses" to mean Emma brought them over for Courtney. That's good, I'd rather Courtney destroy her own property than someone else's. At least that way she's only wasting her own stuff. (Even though it's still an idiotic thing to do.)

  17. Pricilla...Gives me the sads too. She went on and on in a Vanity Fair article about how much she loved fashion and then she does this to dresses with history it.. And I find it interesting that she claims someone "stole" her money. Probably her alter ego went on a spree and she doesn't remember.
And here she says she's clean. No wonder Bean emancipated.

  18. So we know at least some of these blinds are true. This is Courtney to a tee. Huge time sucker and emotional leach. And much more into pills than shooting up. I don't think she even knew how to shoot up. She had huge caches of random European fashion even before Kurt died.

  19. I'm with you Priscilla. Priceless works of art destroyed.

  20. Stupid cow. I wonder where her money is coming from, now that she can't raid Frances Bean's trust fund anymore? Her own money is long gone, "stolen" by her drug dealers when she handed it to them.
