Blind Items Revealed
March 5, 2007
One of the great things about Las Vegas is the plentiful food. This actress who had been gaining weight and looking hot enough to date after a long bout of not eating is back at it again. Our spy caught her in the restroom at a restaurant the other night either suffering from the flu or an instant case of food poisoning because the actress spent about ten minutes getting rid of the food she had just eaten.
Emmy Rossum
Eating Disorders. Are we making fun of people for other mental health conditions next?
ReplyDeleteI empathize with her if she is/was bulimic, I struggled for many years with eating disorders and it definitely is a disease, a horrible one.
ReplyDeleteThere has to be more to the Enty hate of Rossum than your typical "she's a bitchy fame whore". Did Emmy fuck one of her (I'm on the "Enty is a woman" train) ex-boyfriends? Current boyfriend? Husband? BFF's husband? run over her puppy? Steal a coveted role? There's just wayyyyyyyy too much attention paid to this chick when most of us would otherwise not even notice her and, really, how different is she from so many other actors out there? Is she literally the WORST of all of them? Even if you factor in Lohan?
ReplyDelete@Rach, other mental health disorders are sooooo summer 2013. See Enty's coverage of Amanda Byrnes' breakdown.
ReplyDeleteno female Enty just hates all semi-or successful women that seem to be happy.
ReplyDeleteI honestly can't harp on celebs who have eating disorders. I would be a mess if I constantly had people telling me how fat and nasty I was and how imperfect everything about me is. It's hard not to crack under my normal life pressure, I can't imagine the pressure of hundreds of nasty old men criticizing and eyeing my body every single day.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the above comments. Cheers to all of you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shitty post. Sigh..
+1
Delete@NomNom83, I doubt woman-hating Enty has ever met Emmy Rossum or almost any of the celebs she bashes constantly. Probably she was in love with some guy who smiled at her one time, accidentally, and he happened to wind up married to a girl who looks like Rossum. So now it's okay to make fun of the completely unrelated actress for having an eating disorder.
ReplyDeleteHave a hard time giving a fuck about eating disorders. Nowadays everybody is a helpless victim. Everybody has an illness. Personal responsibility and intestinal fortitude need not apply. Anyway, Miss Possum looks ok here.
ReplyDeleteHave a hard time giving a fuck about Asshole Disorder. Particularly anyone who likes women who look like they're 12.
DeleteAssfuckdouche of the Day is Harry!
Eating disorders are sad. She doesn't love herself enough or have a clear sense of whom she is, nor her intrinsic value. Criticizing her over that is pretty cruel. She might be a kinder, more likable person if she knew how to like herself. Vicious sad circle of waste and pain... More tired than a beaten horse, but very real to anyone - and their loved ones - in the grip. Best wishes to all struggling....may the new year bring peace and hope.
ReplyDeleteI had bullimia from 14-18. It is not a disease. It's a choice. Sometimes we have to stop labelling things. You choose to do it. Someone dying of cancer is a disease people.

ReplyDeleteWoah, woah, woah, this is a BI from 2007! Original Enty was still writing the BI's then. Whatever insane shills are running CDAN now, they're not responsible for the BI's from back then.
ReplyDeleteRossum shows plenty of skin on Shameless and looks to be yummily healthy and fit, so revealing a six year-old recovered eating disorder is not that big of a deal.
Bulimics have a level of commitment that goes above and beyond anorexia.
ReplyDeleteI once tried the Irish Bulimic Diet. I ate normal portions for dinner, drank booze until I threw up, then spent the next day drinking water, until I had normal portions for dinner. It becomes pricey when you accumulate higher and higher tolerance to booze.
Its a sad disease. In my fiances family his aunt and niece are both bulimic. After meals they both go to separate bathrooms. If they could stop they would. I used to make myself throw up after a big meal to stay thinner, easier to do when drinking, but stopped once i started reassesing my priorities in life. Hurting myself in order to be attractive to a man struck me as counter productive, i dont want that kind of man in my life.
ReplyDeleteThat's really sad. My friend had an eating disorder when she was younger and it really messed her up. She completely lost her sense of smell, for one.
ReplyDeleteNot trying to be a prude, but I agree that eating disorders and perhaps abortion and rape/molestation blinds should probably be off limits. I love blinds, but can't get off on these kind.
@CriticalPeach - Hheads up - just because you went through it doesn't mean you are qualified to speak for all bulimics, and thank god for that. It actually is a disease by definition, which is the conclusion of a large group of individuals much more qualified than you to diagnose medical disorders and diseases.
ReplyDelete@Harry Knuckles - Thanks again for confirming that my loathing of conservatives is valid.
"Assfuckdouche of the Day" Seriously Meanie, I almost bust a gut from laughing when I read this. I don't suppose you'd consider having sex with me?
ReplyDeleteMadLyb, I am indeed Republican. Staunch and card carrying. How did you know? And why do you loathe so? And would you like to get together with me and Meanie?
ReplyDeleteLainey hates her too. There must be something to it.

ReplyDeleteshes apparently an aweful person to be around or work with. Enty usually snarks about people like that. it doesn't seem personal when its out there that the person is an asshole. and as far as eating disorders they are sad but i would never call it a disease.
ReplyDeleteBS on the disease issue , bulimia and anorexia are mental health issues with physical consequences. BTW, I also have a problem with the" disease of alcoholism" like the other 2, the first few times are free. Its after the pattern is Accepted as doable and continued, that it becomes a mental health issue.
ReplyDeleteNo one is sticking their finger down their throat because they can't digest food and it must be purged before it rots ( disease)
No one is sticking a drink in their hand and forcing them to drink.
Both are choices.
Yeah I agree Harry. A few weeks in Ethiopia with no food should cure these idiots of the need to throw up what they just ate. Stupidest "disease" ever.
ReplyDelete"and as far as eating disorders they are sad but i would never call it a disease."
ReplyDeleteThere's a whole fucking chapter in DSM-5 on eating disorders and you don't think they're diseases? Medical science does.
Ummm eating disorders are also self inflicted.... You are not born with an eating disorder... It is not genetic. It is a result of conditioning which means it is a choice regarding how you view yourself.
ReplyDeleteFor fucks sake anything can be called a dis-ease. They have restless leg syndrome, open leg syndrome, and my favorite.... Affluenza!

Lung cancer in smokers is self-inflicted. If you share needles and get HIV it's self-inflicted but it's still a disease.
ReplyDeleteEating disorders are addictions and they're mental health issues. Medical science says they're diseases and they are.
I'm not a person who thinks everything has to be labelled or be a disease, but I've seen someone I love die as a result of their bulimia and it is definitely an illness/disease.
Of course eating disorders are a mental health issue! I've never had it, and sympathize greatly, but picking and choosing which blinds we get offended over? Not sure we'd have any then. I have severe PTSD from an abusive marriage. I've had at least 30-40 ppl ask me why I didn't leave, why I was so stupid, I must like being hit, etc. Unfortunately, that's life, and I've had to grow thicker skin. Best to all y'all suffering or have in the past.
ReplyDeleteI've known anorexics, bulimics and compulsive over-eaters. Call it a choice if you prefer, it doesn't matter. Those people were not in control of their behavior at the time and serious treatment was required.
ReplyDeleteEating disorders are not off-limits for gossip. As for Rossum, she's always been a cunt. It's no shocker that everyone, including old/new Enties, despise her.
