Blind Item #4- Kindness
About six weeks ago there was a very tragic accident at a church festival where an out of control car knocked over a bunch of kids, killing one of them and injuring a load of others. The girl who was killed had just moved to New York with her family from Ireland, her sister was also critically injured in the accident. Anyway to make a long story short, there is going to be a big benefit for the family to defray medical expenses for the surviving daughter. Most of the money at the benefit is coming from one B+ list mostly movie actress who has donated tons of her clothes, bags and shoes and anything else she can think of to raise money. She gets a lot of flack from people, but she is doing a good thing here.
I hope it is Paltrow---people should back-off her a little
ReplyDeleteOne of the Jens?
ReplyDeleteFestival was in Yonkers. Not sure which actress.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm. I would think if something like this accident happened, it would've been all over the news. So, I'm calling bullshit. :)
ReplyDeleteIt happened in Yonkers, NY on McLean Avenue. It was during a church festival. It was definitely all over the news. Some guy was leaving a bar/restaurant (McLean Ave is full of pubs and hosts a huge Irish expat population) and ran down a bunch of people. It was about ten minutes from my house. Not bullshit. I would love to know who did the donations. I'd like to think it was someone from the neighborhood.

ReplyDeleteI'd go with Paltrow, but am just guessing.
Oh wow, google is your friend, Rhysie. :/
ReplyDelete:) No worries, Rhysie! That article doesn't reference Ireland, but another article did: http://www.lohud.com/article/20131012/NEWS02/310120063/
ReplyDeleteJenny from the Block. Other that American Idull she is mostly movie.
ReplyDeleteAt first I was thinking Lea Michele but she's solely TV.
If she's donating things to raise money, it would make sense to disclose her name. 'Gwynneth Paltrow's black cashmere turtleneck' is going to raise a lot more money than just an ordinary black turtleneck. Heck, I might buy it, and I don't even like Paltrow. But she does have beautiful stuff.
ReplyDeleteGwynneth
ReplyDeleteThis is Kristen Stewart.
ReplyDeleteI guess even KStew's stuff would raise some money. Good if it's her. Good luck selling her stuff. I can't imagine. Maybe she has good stuff and just doesn't wear it.
ReplyDelete@Karen, Kristen Stewart probably already has a lot of nice stuff - designers love her. She's the spokeswoman for Balenciaga and probably has tons of their clothes. That said, she should REALLY put her name on her stuff if indeed this blind is about her. Think of how much the Twihards would pay for it. And right before Christmas, too! What a gift for the Twihard in your life!

ReplyDeleteKristen would be all-movie, right?

ReplyDeleteOnly raised $1,205 so far.
Its sad that I cant imagine paltrow doing anything altruistc or giving anything awat. Just cannot.
ReplyDeleteThis could be anyone...but I guarantee it ISN'T Goopy or Kstew.
ReplyDeleteIt could be Kristen Stewart. She did do one made-for-premium-TV movie, "Speak." It was the second movie she ever did, I think. And she's taken way more than her fair share of sh*t over what was supposed to be a serious romance and was probably never more in reality than a friendship. I'll bet, if true, that's one mistake she'll never make again. And I know first-hand she's capable of surprising kindness. She's been incredibly kind to me on social media.
ReplyDeleteLilo!
ReplyDeleteJanuary Jones?
ReplyDeleteSomeone who is Irish, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteHalf-Irish?
A redhead?
I think of anyone but Jessica Chastain, who maybe isn't a real redhead (oh crap, I sense a nasty photo link coming)
I guess Lilo over GOOP or KStew.
ReplyDeleteThe accident happened in Yonkers NY. Very large Irish community as in new from Ireland on the Bronx/Yonkers border. there a few actresses I've heard of shopping in the neighborhood shops, but the one that stick out reading this blind would be Sarah Jessica Parker. Maybe this one is her?
ReplyDeleteSorry, j kav. This is what I get for not reading all of the comments before I post. "Yes" about everything you said re: the accident. I also wouldn't be surprised if it was SJP.
DeleteMcLean Avenue attracts pretty much every off-duty police officer and fire fighter in the area. It's hard to believe that something so awful could happen in an area that is so well-protected.
The only recent celeb connections to Yonkers I can think of off hand are the Huvanes (Kevin and Stephen who rep half of Hollywood). I'm thinking this might be someone from their stable of actors/actresses? Goop would fit.
ReplyDeleteJust to be different I'll go with JLo. Yes, her total level of fame is higher, but if I was fudging, I'd use only actress to describe her.
ReplyDeletePosh...
ReplyDeleterevealed today as the AMAZING SJP.
