Blind Items Revealed

May 24, 2013

This C+ list mostly movie actor who really only has one great role to his career thinks he is a big shot. He is recognized for the movie, but not as much as he was when it came out a few years ago. He was hitting on a woman the other night and when she blew him off and didn't recognize him, he threw his drink in her face and told her to Google him and then come back when she was ready.

Jesse Eisenberg

  2. Seriously? You're that hurt/offended you'd actually toss your drink? Jeez there's more than one woman on the planet. How did that work for him? Was she suddenly EAGER to consort with him mow? What a tool.

  4. What an insufferable asshole.

  5. Which makes him playing Mark Zuckerburg as a pretentious douchebag not so much of an acting role....

  8. I am very skeptical about this reveal. I don't know anything IRL about Jesse Eisenberg, but I have read some interviews with him that give me a contradictory impression.

This is from an interview in New York Magazine for an off-Broadway play he wrote and starred in:

"But in general, you don't want to read a profile about your favorite actor and you don't want to see a movie with your favorite actor in it?

    Right.

    Why?

I guess for similar reasons. It comes from a place of insecurity about my own creative stuff. I’m also just not that interested in the arts. In the play, what the characters are interested in, that’s what I’m interested in. The only time the characters ever reference something in the arts is when the girl says to me she likes Mariah Carey and I say I don't even know who Mariah Carey is. It’s a half-joke because he probably does know who she is, but he wants to see himself as part of a cultural elite who wouldn’t know who she is. I’m interested in all the things the characters are interested in: politics and all this other stuff. My degree in school was — well is, I haven’t finished yet — anthropology. That’s the stuff I’m interested in and I surround myself with people who are interested that stuff. "

Doesn't sound like a guy who would throw a drink in a girl's face and tell her to Google him.

  9. Yes, because it is forbidden to lie in interviews or at least embellish the details.

  10. Sounds like a completely fabricated BI done out of mindless spite. Guy has talent, and he's at leat B+. He's getting above-the-title credits regularly.

  11. I wonder if his sister will return to acting? She was a good child actress.

My rice krispies have more personality than this guy.

  13. "One great role to his career"?
Somebody hasn't seen The Squid and the Whale.

  14. I bumped into him once. Not only was he nice as pie, he wasn't trying to get attention.

    I like him.

  17. I don't believe this one. I just don't.

  18. No, I like him. He's like the rich man's Michael Cera. If Michael Cera weren't so annoying.

  19. This may have been taken out of context. I don't think he's an asshole, but if the girl was super-snarky to him, he may have lost his cool. It's all a matter of perspective.

  20. I think he is higher than C+ and has been dating Mia Wasikowska.. I call shenanigans on this "reveal."

    1. I always get confused if it's him or Cera that's dating that Mia chick with no eyebrows and bangs Shia La Douche in that Lars Von Psycho's Nymphomaniac movie, so thanks. 😊

  21. I'd throw my drink right back at him and probably die laughing at the childishness of it all. Grow up. I hope this reveal isn't true.

His sister goes to my college. I hope she goes back into acting, too, though it seems like she's been working on International Relations or something like that. It's funny though, because I once saw her (the Pepsi girl) coming out of the student union with a Coca-Cola.

  23. Yeah, this one sounds like BS. My ex worked at the Sunset Marquis, and waited on him there. She said he was literally the nicest guy imaginable, and she just wanted to put him in her pocket and take him home...

  24. All I know is that I'd be ready to jump a man's bones after he threw his drink in my face and pulled "do you know who I am". NOT!

  25. There was a ton of press this summer about him being a jerk to a reporter:

Not sure if this is BS or not, but I just don't like what I've seen of him. In movies or interviews.
He also has the same repetitive mannerisms (aka K Stew's lip biting) and his acting is pretty limited in range.
