Blind Items Revealed

October 8, 2009

This A list movie actor recently quit a very high profile movie he was to begin shooting. There was no real reason why he suddenly decided to take a pass. Well, the reason is a pass. It turns out that the A list actor hit on the wife of his fellow A list co-star who threatened to walk out if the offender wasn't fired. Our A list lecher was allowed to quit rather than being fired.

Sean Penn/Josh Brolin/Diane Lane "Cartel"

  1. Huh? So Brolin had more power than Penn at that time? Did I read that right? Anyway, I can't decide who to root for in that scenario except for Diane.

  2. In 2009, just after No Country For Old Men, maybe Brolin DID have more power than Penn. We didn't know what a d!ck he is until after he and Diane got divorced.

  3. Well 2 stars vs 1 you want to keep Diane Lane happy too

  4. So Josh can hit a woman but when a POS hits on his wife he runs like a punk and cries to his bosses instead of kicking his ass :(

  5. Well Penn would hit back

  6. Was this movie never made or did the name change? Also I remember hearing that Josh hit on Robin Wright around the time they made Milk, so maybe it was payback

  7. This doesn't make much sense because Penn and Brolin made Gangster Squad since then.

  8. With ya Reno..kind of confused here.
They are both assholes, but who is supposed to be the goatse in this?

Penn hits on Diane too? Jeez, either this chick likes it rough or she doesn't know when to shut up.

    ((Kidding))

    So he'll hit Diane,butnot Penn?

Surely a guy that is hitting on your wife (pun intended) deserves at least a talking too.........FIRST!

    Huh...gofigure.

  10. Anyway poor Diane she should have never messed with Richie Sambora when she was with Bon Jovi.

  11. I wonder if this was before or after Liev Schreiber knocked him one for hitting on Naomi Watts?

  12. I think most of us knew what a jerk Brolin was way before he married Diane Lane. She wasn't his first wife, nor the first woman he beat the crap out of, but she was higher profile. I hope it was just embarrassment over making such a colossal mistake in marrying him that had her staying with him as long as she did.

  13. But they still hang out & work together???? Gangster squad just came out last year....maybe Brokin didn't really care but it pissed Diane off.

  14. @HannahBanana, that was my thought--that Diane was the one who insisted Brolin threaten to quit.

  15. A bullshit blind item since Penn and Brolin worked again together in Ganster Squad
    Cartel movie was cancelled
Brolin substituted Sean Penn in Cartel
( FTN Penn is enough with Naomi Watt and her guy to dinner together recently)

  16. And Brolin and Penn partied together and harrassed Gosling/emma stone if you believe an revealed old blind item

  17. That's right, caroline david, I forgot that! Maybe it's a "don't mess with MY woman" thing, and once they had new people to harass, they were able to mend fences. I don't know if that makes sense, surely there must be some troglodyte a-hole here that can explain guy code. Massive G? Anyone?

  18. Didn't Brolin and Penn also do "Milk" as well? That was released on 2008. Something about this blind is fishy.

  19. Oh and by the way Penn was nominated (and won)the Oscar for that film so I'm seriously wondering who had the power here.

  20. First time poster, long time reader. I call bs on this blind. Sean Penn may or may not have hit on her but this movie fell apart for unrelated reasons. Aso, Sean Penn was not involved at the same time as Josh Brolin. Their invovement did not overlap. The producers tried for a long time to make this movie happen and it never did. Different people were attached at different times but ultimately it was about the budget and the dangers of filming in Mexico.
