Blind Items Revealed

August 31, 2009

It has been a big week for those Academy Award nominated/winning actresses and their drugs. In this week's adventure, this barely a B Academy Award nominee/winner (different from last week's druggie) was boarding a flight to Europe when she realized she had a handful of OxyContin in her purse but no prescription. Instead of throwing them away she decided to take the entire handful before proceeding through security. Then, she and her child and nanny all boarded the plane. Our actress stayed conscious for about 45 minutes which the nanny found remarkable.

  1. Hasn't this happened to us all?

  2. Yet she managed to stay alive taking all that shit at once

  3. RIGHT. Do you know what oxycontin looks like? You could put it in an Altoids tin and no one would know the difference. TSA doesn't check your pills to make sure you have a prescription.

  4. She should take lessons from Paris Hilton, up the cooch and they'll never know.

  5. I mix my Xanax in with my vitamins and no one gives a crap.

  6. She must have had some extra special security if they were looking at pills! Story is BS.

  7. Hmm, sounds like someone forgot to pack their TSA-approved drugs...oops.

  8. This blind is BS. I have brought meds on my carry on. They never have checked to see if my name is on the bottle. She's in the entertainment industry. I'm sure one would know of ways to hide that shit from word of mouth.

  9. It's like a way less funny version of the weed scene from Super Troopers

  10. meh, some TSA agents get hard ons for celebs and just look for something to bust them on, loose pills can be a problem. Plus she probably wanted to down them all anyway bottle or no bottle.

  11. Sounds more like an excuse than anything else, if true. I've flown all over the world with loose pain pills, amphetamines, and anxiety drugs in unlabeled containers. This blind feels a little shady.

  12. Nit-picking here but this always irritates me.

The prescription goes to the pharmacy so no-one ever has a prescription - you have a pill bottle with your name, the dr. & the drug on it but you do not have a prescription on you.

Same thing I guess - it shows you had/have a prescription but you don't walk around with one unless you have not got it filled.

I know, stupid, but it always bugs me. Can't they say "proof of legally prescribed or something."

Sorry for my rant but it's true.

  13. That reminds me to pick up my prescription from Rite Aid tomorrow. My current prescription is almost out. It really is not fun when you are out of a prescription and your doctor drags his feet to get you another prescription.

  14. Is the concern about TSA, or customs? The TSA won't care, but I imagine customs could be a problem, if they decided to search. Which they probably wouldn't, in this case.

  16. She was boarding the plane but hadn't gone through security yet?

  17. She stayed conscious for 45 minutes? That's some resistance she's built up.
