Blind Item #8
"I know I was awful in the movie but at this point I care more about the paychecks and staying in front of the camera than anything else."
Former A list mostly movie actress who is still A-/B+ and an Academy Award winner.

Nicole Kidman in "Grace of Monaco"
Julia Roberts in that crap that just came out.
I am on the Kidman train!
DID ANYONE SEE THE ORIGINAL MV BLIND TAGGED WITH "ASHLEE SIMPSON"
Her name has 13 letters...
Probably Nic.
I don't think Ashley was ever an A+ Celeb.
@sandybrook
Roberts is praised for her movie with Streep
even if it's about Kidman,it's b**shit since that Kidman has 4 other movie projects AND she always works much (2/3 mostly indie movies per year)
@Tara I think it was tagged that because he mentions her in the blind.
"This would put the Milli Vanilli scandal and Ashlee Simpson SNL situation so far down the ladder it would be crazy.."
Funny Tara as I was looking at the item about Ashley Simpson I thought hmmm could she be MV but I am not sure she matches the other clues.
Naturally that lip synching snafu on SNL was the start of her descent.
The clues from over the years do not match up with it being Ashlee. She's not relevant enough to make this a huge shock...and remember there are hints as MV having two kids.
Kidman or Watts.
I figured that it wasn't her, but thought perhaps there was some kind of relationship. I guess it's just because she's mentioned.
Now THIS Kaley Cuoco dish from Blind Gossip surprised me. Makes a lot of sense: http://blindgossip.com/?p=58112#more-58112
Why do people keep linking to/talking about BG?
BG should rename themselves Blurry Gossip. Even my ridiculous Almost Reveals are harder. (BTW, @AKM, I owe you!)
Kidman.
This sounds like something Shirley Maclaine would say, although it also wouldn't be a blind item - she'd be open about it.
If this was an actor, it would be Al Pacino
I was thinking Natalie Portman in the Thor movie.
I like the Portman guess. I hear she's awful in the new Thor movie. Kidman is another good one; Grace of Monaco was touted as an Oscar contender but it was pushed to next year. Maybe Kidman's performance isn't all that great. She's also a major work-a-holic, and this blind sounds like it's about someone who works constantly so she can always be in front of the camera no matter what the movie is.
Enty has quotes around this as if the person really said this exactly out loud and in front of people. Is he/she saying this is an actual quote or just implying its the general attitude of the actress in question?
Color me confused even after all these years
Diane Keaton or Susan Sarandon in The Big Wedding. The movie had awful reviews.
Third pick, Mary Steenburgen in Last Vegas, another Robert De Niro film that had even worse reviews.
Kidman would be too proud to admit she phoned in her performance.
Oh no Tara!!!That was an exclusive. I hope you gave it credit.
I love how on BG not one single person comes up with a different guess..Rarely ever. Boring!
Jodie Foster
Natalie Portman. Nicole Kidman always does Indy movies where she gets paid nothing and aren't seen by many, this doesn't add up and if it is her - it pros that this whole site is bs.
Also Grace of Monaco was delayed because Harvey Weinstein pulled his infamous editing scissors out on another control freak director.
Blind Gossip has a lot of true breaks and even better, useful hints. I'm pretty impressed when they post a Solved! where the original blind is clearly about a certain person and from several months before i heard anything here.
Natalie Portman? I've heard she was pretty vanilla in the new thor movie.
@Angela I read Diane Keaton's book and she would absolutely say something this honest.
Oooh Diane Keaton is another good guess. She's been picking up the pay checks for over a decade now. She's probably honest enough to admit that she's giving terrible performances but it doesn't matter. She just wants to keep acting. I keep thinking about the younger, more popular A listers and end up forgetting the older ones.
Can't imagine Natalie Portman being that way... she has so much cash and isn't blowing through it like Lohan would. Plus, she's in no danger of her fame fading away at this time.
Also can't imagine it being her because I'm not sure I've really seen her be good in a movie! Okay, "Black Swan." Otherwise, she's always the same, very beautiful and sweet, but not exciting. I kinda hate saying that as I really do like her.
Helen Mirren in Red 2.
OMG! PLEASE be Shirley Maclaine!! She's so awesome and I can totally hear her saying this.
Really? These words actually came out of someone's mouth? I call BS.
Natalie is a horrible actress. Black Swan was an exception to the rule. She sucks.
Nicole kidman would NEVER admit that
I was about to say Naomi Watts and that terrible Diana movie.. but I think she was only nominated [at least a couple of times] but never won an academy award
halle berry .. the call
