If Genevieve Sabourin had a jury trial instead of a judge decided trial I think she would have a very good chance of getting off. Because a judge is deciding the case who already can't stand her and has already sentenced her to thirty days in jail for contempt I have a feeling he probably will find her guilty and sentence her to some type of probation. He is going to look ridiculous if he sentences her to 90 days in jail. Do you think that would deter her if she was still interested in stalking Alec? Do you want thousands more of NYC tax dollars to pay for a woman to be housed in jail because she had sex with a guy and wanted an explanation after he dumped her? OK, yes, she went beyond that but I think everyone on the planet thinks Alec slept with her and then she went overboard. I don't think it is deserving of 90 days in jail when you have people who have done far worse things to people and serve less time.
Final arguments are set for today and the judge will probably make his decision in the next few days.
