Can't say enough amazing things about this story - hundreds expected and 12k+ showed. San Francisco and Make-A-Wish went to extraordinary lengths to create this adventure for Miles. Loved every minute of following it.
Every different thing I have read or seen about Batkid has made me weep uncontrollably. For so many people to want to make one little boy so happy is just amazing.
The shoes he was wearing were Peach's Neet Feet! It is a wonderful non-profit, my friends son was the recipient of a pair and his parents were able to present another little girl with her shoes. Please like them on Facebook!
Not only was this an amazing, wonderful and inspiring story, it was lucky for Lou Seal Batkid was there - who knows what tricky plot the Penguin intended! Made my day reading the saga as it unfolded.
I love the fact that even the Department of Justice got involved... http://www.justice.gov/usao/can/news/2013/2013_11_15_riddler.penguin.charged.press.html
Please remember this the next time someone tries to hold up San Francisco as the center of everything that is wrong with the USA, the hell hole of liberal thought.
One kabillion kudos to Make A Wish, this was spectacular.
I had the pleasure of cheering Batkid on at the stadium. What a great day. Every city can and should do things like this. Why not? It's fun and makes everyone feel great.
:)))))))))))))
