ReplyDeleteMy sister is my best friend. I still keep in touch with my two best friends from high school and would still consider them my best friends, but blood trumps class rings.

ReplyDeleteMy best friend died the year after we graduated (he died in 95) and since then I've been reluctant to let people in. I know it's stupid, but I'd rather be alone than to lose someone I care about.
ReplyDeleteActually found my bestie from high school on FB..We've talked a total of 3 times and she gave me an hour at the holidays. Like she's always done, she had to do something with her "boyfriend". Could not spare a night hanging with her friend who came from the west coast east for 5 days. There's a reason you don't always stay friends with people from high school..

ReplyDeleteWhen my family moved when I was four I met a little girl who lived across the street. We've been friends ever since. We were pregnant at the same time. We've been each others' maids of honor, lots if bad dresses there. We have lunch every week and take trips to Vegas every year.

I've known her since I was 3 & we've been besties for 20 years. We're godmothers to each others children, no one knows me better than she's does. We live in different states, and work at staying close. Love my bestie, Jazz.

ReplyDeleteNever have had something as "best friend". I have very few friends (about ten), but I know most of them since we were younger than fifteen, and three of them since we were seven.

ReplyDeleteI'm still have 5 close friends from my group as high school and I've become better friends with a couple of people from school since graduating. I've had other friends since leaving but they've been my constants. The best.

ReplyDeleteMy best friend is my husband. I had another best friend, but she finally let me down one too many times and then I just couldn't not see that she's a selfish bitch, you know? It still stings though. I have a group of three girlfriends who I know I could count on anytime, but they're not my "best" friends like she was.
