After not touring together for several years the Jonas Brothers were all set to go on tour beginning this weekend. Unfortunately for them there were some issues. The main issue in their little quest for a return to relevancy is that ticket sales were abysmal. It turns out not that many people were all that keen on spending the night listening to the three brothers sing some songs that were not all that popular in the first place. The group was popular but none of the songs ever did that great.
The second issue is that Danielle Jonas decided her husband should take charge and put his foot down and tell his brothers what kind of music they should be playing. Apparently that didn't go over that well but Danielle insisted so the puppy dog did as he was told.
Meanwhile, the other two brothers had their own ideas of what they wanted to do and not surprising anyone, listening to Danielle was not at the top of the list. One thing they all did agree on is that they needed some controversy and a way out of half empty venues so the canceling of the tour for creative differences gave them an easy out.
Win/win.
ReplyDeleteThe shirt on the far-left guy (Kevin?) is the worst thing ever.
ReplyDelete@Frufra i completely skipped the picture at first and now I'm dying!
Delete@Frufra - I believe blouse would be a more accurate term than shirt.
Delete@frufra, it was probably his idea of "what a straight guy would wear." Fail.
ReplyDeleteYou know, Hanson gets a lot of stick as an annoying pop band, but they put out some decent songs. I recently heard "Mmmbop" described as the best song the Jackson 5 never recorded.
ReplyDeleteI thought that Yoko Ono was going on tour with the Jonas Brothers for a second there.
ReplyDeleteYoko and the Jonas Brothers should NEVER be mentioned in the same paragraph, let alone the same sentence. #TeamYoko
ReplyDelete@Topper - agreed. Yoko's music is wacky (ok, batshit cray cray) but I love her.
DeleteTopper-so NOT team yoko.
DeleteI'm embarrassed to know this but they were on tour this summer. The company I work for owns an outdoor concert venue and The Jonas Brothers played there in July. I ended up taking my 2 youngest daughters (10 and 7) to see them. I felt sorry for them that the 2 opening acts, Karmen (they sound like a poppier version of No Doubt) and some random DJ (who mixed up a ton of Imagine Dragons), were better than they were.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are fighting over a dude.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha!
DeleteAlan from the hangover is going to be crushed.
ReplyDeleteWho cares? Eat my ass
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Blind Gossip will have a blind about it.
ReplyDeleteOh, please! The Jonas Brothers could never be The Beatles and the twit is hardly Yoko Ono.
ReplyDeleteKevin Jonas seems like that type of guy who gets beaten up (abused) by the wife and does nothing about it.
ReplyDeleteI kinda feel bad for them, they fell hard and fast. Nick needs to just take all that sexiness solo, he sounds a lot better by himself
ReplyDelete@JSierra, is he of age? I saw that shirtless pic a while back. Daaaamn!
ReplyDeletehes 21! wooo
DeleteOooohhhhh Lotta don't remind me!! I have work that needs to be done today
DeleteI wish the real Yoko and the Jonas boys would do a tour together. Hopefully Yoko's unwarranted ego would weigh down the plane, causing it to crash shortly after take off.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteI'm waiting for YOKO's next album of screaming.
DeleteI'm surprised this made national news. My first thought was poor ticket sales. Honestly, my little one moved on a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it almost time for Dani to fake that miscarriage? That could have been sad enough and garnered enough sympathy that "everyone" (read:no one) would sympathize with my they needed to call off the tour.
