Do you think Robin Thicke has even listened to the words of Blurred Lines? I know he has been accused of stealing it but he does sing it all the time so you would think he would at least listen to the lyrics or read them or something so he doesn't look quite as stupid as he appears after a recent BBC interview.
In the interview he had this to say about who the song is about. "I wrote it about my wife. She's my good girl. And I know she wants it because we've been together for 20 years."
Umm, the song is not about your wife. I know you want the world to think you are some stand up guy who doesn't hit on every woman who walks within a twenty foot radius of your pinkie ring but other people do know your lyrics. Unfortunately the BBC interviewer had not and didn't ask any type of followup question.
The song is about a guy who takes a woman from another man. Robin and Paula Patton have been together for two decades. When exactly in high school was her boyfriend at the time, if she even had one trying to "domesticate" her? Did he know at that time she was an "animal?"
Oh, and for you guys who have a girlfriend or wife. Tonight walk up to her friends and tell everyone that she is your good girl. See how that goes.
Wow. Someone really hates Robin Thicke. And pinkie rings.
ReplyDeleteYeah. Jaded and reaching hard with this one Ent'
DeleteI think this Enty wants to be someone's good girl.
ReplyDeleteThe douche is strong with this one...it's coming off the page in waves. ~~~~ Like that. :)
ReplyDeleteLMAO FSP!!
ReplyDeleteOk his hair is gross in that pic but what is with the gloves? Creepy as...
ReplyDeleteHi Jax! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteListen, you receive the love you think you deserve. Is it right? No. Is it true? Yes.
Keep on snarking - I personally love it!
DeleteSo true Ent.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she wants her a$$ torn in two.
ReplyDeleteAlso, good on them for being together for so long in the biz.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd be offended by being called a Good Girl, particularly with a slightly sexual undertone. Really, there are plenty of actual insults out there.
ReplyDeleteI prefer when my hubby tells me I'm a bad girl!
DeleteI think she approves all his game playing. Yes, he fell out of the douchebag tree and hit every branch on the way down, but she is no wilting flower.
ReplyDeleteShe likes the ladies. She's not worried about his transgressions unless it interferes with her career.
ReplyDeleteI like to be referred to as a good girl. So what if hes a flirt? She seems to be too.
ReplyDeleteAaaannddd, the winner of the "Most Clueless Comment" goes to......
ReplyDelete*drum roll*
Anna Katherine What's-her-face!!!
Really? LOL
Anna, whats up with the blogger profile? It isn't filled with rambles about some psychic or that fat guy from Nickelodeon.
DeleteDo you have multiple personalities?
Hush you MelOncholy, she was named valedictorian back in St. Olaf.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if he catches his pinky ring in Robin's hair as he pats her head and says "good girl! Gooooood giiiiiirl!" And feeds her smackos
ReplyDeleteMe too, Rach. My hubs likes a lady in public but a freak in sheets. Works for me.
ReplyDeleteI just wasted my time reading this post. The only interesting thing about it is the picture. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like someone was turned down on being the bacon in a Thicke/ Patton sandwich.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giggle.
Delete@itsjustu I WAS GOING TO SAY THE SAME THING LMAOOO! Sounds like someone got foot of the bed during the threesome.
ReplyDelete"Here's our beginning..."
ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound like it's about someone's partner of 20 years. Not that I care...singers tell stories that aren't necessarily autobiographical.
I'm not sure he knows WHAT the song's about anymore. People are so up in arms about the possible date-rape aspect that I think he just tries to CHA at this point.
He has no lips
ReplyDeleteTotally off subject, but was anyone exposed to the, "never trust anyone with no lips" saying growing up? I don't think it's accurate, but wonder where it originated and why I heard it so frequently.
DeleteChicken Thigh : I was!!! My mum (who has full lips as does moi) told me never to trust peeps w thin lips as they represent meaness! And it's oft been true. The kind that are the result of pulling a chook bum lip mean face. (Not picking on people who may not have big lips) but my mother in law who is MEAN! (She'd scare Satan himself) has these puckered tight chook arse set of lips. She's always pursing them and contemplating evil
DeleteI just figured every song he writes is about Paula, since he has said many times over the years that she is his muse. I do think they are a cute couple...a bit loopy and possibly coked-out, but cute. After 20+ years together, it seems to work for them.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the photo was taken during the video shoot for "when I get you alone" (ca. 2002). He was playing a bike messenger, hence the gloves.
You can call me a good girl too..So long as you wink and slap my ass..LOL! Depends on what you think that I do good.
ReplyDeleteI like this song but I've never really paid much attention to the lyrics either. That hair though! Don't take your Robin Thicke hate out on us Enty, I'll never unsee that.
ReplyDelete@IJU, you crack me up!
ReplyDeletePinky rings have always been dead giveaways for a manwhore, even way back to the days of John Barrymore or Errol Flynn.
ReplyDeleteDon't pick on Flynn. What a man. What a dong! Sigh.
DeleteEnty, Why yo mad tho? LMAO
ReplyDeleteIt's about his wife? It's about stealing a woman rom another man? HUH???
ReplyDeleteONLY thing that makes sense is that it's about the blurred line between when a woman says no but means yes. Which is RAPE, because no is no.
Can't a piece of art be about/inspired by someone or something but not be 100% truthful?
ReplyDeleteJokes on him. Queen Latifah sings the lyrics of that song to his wife too.
ReplyDeleteJokes on him. Queen Latifah sings the lyrics of that song to his wife too.
ReplyDeleteAll these Robin Thicke posts are really starting to make "Enty" sound like a woman scorned. Get over it. Its boring.
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend LOVES that song still. It's so overplayed, that I can't stand it. He's always singing it to me.
ReplyDeleteRobin is way hotter with his short hair. I don't like the long hair on him.
Ugh, SHUT UP, Enty. This new Enty is so judgemental and such a weird prude.
ReplyDelete@Rosso, that's his outfit from the When I Get You Alone video in 2002, where he played a bicycle courier.
