Kris Humphries Gets $750K for Kim Kardashian Engagement Ring
Kris Humphries picked up almost $1M by auctioning off the engagement ring he presented to Kim Kardashian. I would say gave it to her but does anyone think he actually bought the ring? I love how everyone said it was worth $2M. Do you know where the $2M number came from? Kim Kardashian and their publicity team to show how much Kris loved Kim. It's amazing to me how that number has turned into gospel. Does anyone think that Kim was going to just give away a $2M ring without a fight? What she did was not fight about a ring that cost less than half of that and made a profit for whomever was the actual purchaser. I think the ring was worth about $500K and purchased for significantly less so selling it for $750K makes everyone happy. The person buying it thinks they got a great deal and it represents a profit for Kris.
So sad that someone actually paid all that money for some horrible porn stars junk jewelry instead of donating it to medical research.
ReplyDeletesomeone should've just gone to Jared's
ReplyDeleteI can't quite grasp the maths on this. Surely there would've been a certified valuation?
ReplyDeleteI thought KPig kept the ring. More BS from POS PMK?
ReplyDeleteI think it was part of the settlement that he got to keep the ring...hush money?
DeleteThe real question is how did they scrub the Kardashian STANK from the setting?
ReplyDeleteglitter ponies!
ReplyDeleteI saw the ring. It was certainly very nice, but not $2M "nice"! The $750,000 was higher than the conservative auction value that had been listed. For what it's worth, the catalog states the funds will be going to charity.
ReplyDeleteI don't think of $750K as "almost $1M."
ReplyDeleteIf you ever go into a jeweler to sell something you purchased the day before(somewhere else) and ask how much they will buy it from you, you will find that there is about a 50% markup.
ReplyDeleteThat giant ape hand is frighten
ReplyDeleteThe jeweler definitely found a chump to fork over that much money for that God awful ring.
ReplyDeleteSounds about right. You pay retail for jewelry, but when the time comes around to sell, the buyer pays wholesale. This is a typical jewelry markup.
ReplyDeleteGood for him. I do think Kim ended up paying Kris off to just go away, he was causing her a lot of problems.
