Blind Item #6

This former A list mostly television actor from a very hit show now off the air should have stuck to television because his movie career stalled at about B- does have great name recognition. He also does not have many female friends. The married actor once called this B+ list very tall good looking actress a wh**e because she was dating two men at once. He was serious. He told another foreign born B list mostly movie actress that he once starred with that she was going to hell because she had pre-marital sex. Meanwhile he was cheating on his wife every day on set. I guess he thought the going to hell thing only applied to women. Maybe he is angry that he does not have much hair.

    Mel Gibson?
Kirk Cameron nearly almost made me believe in Jebus until I realised that Santa doesn't exist either

    Steve Carrell?

  5. Carrell is supposed to be very cool irl. Mel wasn't former TV. Sorry, got no guess of my own though except maybe Cameron might fit.

    3. Mel was on the Sullivan's? I loved that show - compulsory lunch time viewing in the uk in the 70s. Mel's career can only have been on a downward projectory if raft was where he started from.

Violet: my mum LOVED watching the repeats of that show. Guess who's getting the Crawfords box set of the Sullivans for Xmas? Yup. My mum.

Violet: we only feel old by proxy. When I hit 30, you can come round with antacids and depends undergarments and we'll have a Sullivans bonanza viewing party. Bring soft lollies. My dentures don't do well with anything chewy.

Nearly 30 dude! I'm revisiting all my teen existentialism to try to deal with my cumming of age. I like fart jokes, so it kinda gave away my age?

Okay. Hillsong backing track and detecting for a balding churchy actor. The ugly Baldwin?

  12. Mel and Bruce did not have movie careers that "stalled out at B-"! They were both A+ at one point. And I have a hard time believing Kirk ever got as HIGH as B- in movies.

  13. I'm thinking Tim Allen.

  14. Jay Mohr is pretty religious. Lots of tv and married.

Also, (I really hate to even think this) Martin Sheen, über catholic, hit show West Wing, married. Tall hot actress Alison Janney.

  15. How about Kelsey Grammer? Did awesome on TV as Frasier - name recognition. Lots of success as executive producer of shows. Starred in X Men 3 with Famke Janssen, who was born in Amsterdam - foreign born mostly movie actress. Obviously was cheating plenty on Camille (they were still married when that movie came out) and hasn't had hair on the front half of his head for a long time.

  16. Also tall hot actress = Rebecca Romijn. She would have encoutered Kelsey Grammer around that time since filming on X Men 3 started in July 2005 (and she didn't marry Jerry O'Connell till 2007.)

  17. Oooh, Kelsey's not a bad guess. VERY hit show. (maybe to say one of the longest-running/most beloved/spinoff would be too obvious) He seems to have a lot of hypocritical views and some weird shit in his childhood.

Jane Leeves from Frasier is very close with Peri Gilpin still (they're neighbors and Peri is her daughter's godmother, as Jane is to Peri's daughter) and Jane's son has both John Mahoney and David Hyde Pierce as godfathers. The only person she did not ask from Frasier was Kelsey, which to me implies some kind of rift/dislike.

Cool stories - that second snippet just reeks of awkward. Yeesh. And ... I'd love more about the first snippet dinner guests - details on 'off' dodginess please - I'm getting my vicarious cheap thrills ;)

  19. CJ and Tara; great guesses for Kelsey!

Indeed weird that the girls from Frasier are friendly with everyone except Antichrist Grammar.

  20. If this is not about Kelsey Grammar I am calling George Costanza. Annoying and no hair (how did that guy ever get laid on Seinfeld???).
    xD

  21. Yes to Kelsey as well.
And Rach I'm almost twice your age (well not really but gettin' there) and I think fart jokes are funny too. I know it's immature but they just are.

  22. You're all wrong!
It's Neal McDonough from Desperate Housewives.
He's such a religious Catholic that he refuses to kiss another actress because he believes it's cheating on his wife.
From Wikipedia: "McDonough was set to star in the ABC dramedy Scoundrels, but was fired for refusing to do sex scenes for the show. He credits his family and his Catholic faith for his decision."

  23. McDonough played a gay psychopath on "Justified".

My first thought was Gary Sinise.
