  1. I can only name Amy Grant and she is married to Vince Gill so that's my guess

It's been a LONG time since I was (dragged against my emo teen will) in the church. Brian Houston anyone? Smith Wigglesworth?
    Jimmy Baker?
    Liberace?
God. Stop the debil in my head telling me that free will, sound judgement and logic are where it's at.....

    1. Kristin, I would believe this is Kirk Franklin if the backup singer were a guy!

My guess is Michael W Smith.

Dear Jebus. Please forgive me for doing the things you never had the balls to do. Apart from that one time. At a Striper concert. Petra got me wet, DC talk had me gagging, but you, you made me wait. Now everyone is a Jebus fan. From Benny Hinn to Justin Bieber.
Being a hipster, you know I found you first.
Yours sincerely. Peter Cook (in Bedazzled)

  10. SCC or Smitty? Please not them.

  11. Amy Grant is the only I have even heard of. I'm a heathen. So is Vince Gill the A list in the Christian world person? I wouldn't have thought so.

    1. No. Vince is still thought of by many CCM fans as being a homewrecker who wreked Amy's marriage and she is still judged harshly to this day as well.

  12. I cant believe anyone here knows any Christian singers that aren't called Creed.

    1. IIRC, Anberlin is actually a Christian band with quite a few hits in music scene. I've been a fan of their stuff but not a Church goer by any means. That said, I doubt they fit this blind.

  13. Wish it was Carman, lol Rach! :-D But we know that aint happening, and we can guess why. That's a whole nother blind. ;-)
    Not SCC. Smittty, maybe.
    Captain Kirk of Stomp.fame--very possibly.
My guess--Phil Keaggy. You may not have heard the name, but check out "Time" on iTunes that he did with Second Chapter of Acts, which features his magnificent guitar solo.

  14. And Phil Keaggy crossed over occasionally in the 70s/80s, forgot to mention.

  15. Amy Grant can't have anything to do with this one; it clearly refers to the guy as male. And no, Vince Gill has NEVER been known as a CCM singer in any sense of the word. I LOVED his caught-on-video takedown of the Westboro Baptist church picketers recently.

  16. Is there a better hypocritical verb than "ministering"? Jesse Jackson was ministering to Bill Clinton

while having a bastard child while married

  17. You lost me at "christian".

  18. Wait, what's the deal with Carman?!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Doesn't sound very "Christian" to me!!!!

  20. My first thought was Steven Curtis Chapman. Pretty sure he sings "butterfly kisses". If it's him, I'll be shocked.
I think Michael w Smith is the answer. I get the impression he would cheat. He was my favorite artist as a teen.
Phil Keggy would sadden me. I hope it isn't him.

  21. Israel Houghton(?)
Older (41)...cross over music...ministers....has a young daughter around that age that sings with him sometime

  22. My grammar is infamously horrible but wouldn't be "A list singer in the Christian MUSIC world"? The rolling stones or some groups like that are A list in the Christian world (I don't think muslims look good at them), but not in the Christian music world.

Said this, I don't know about that kind of music.

  23. These hypocrite pseudo religious men are disgusting predators.

  24. needs to be a male christian singer with a 20 y.o. daughter. Does that narrow things down?

  25. Smitty's on tour right now....
