Blind Item #10
This beloved television and movie actress not named Valerie Harper is telling her friends and family that her cancer has returned. She is going to fight it but the former B list actress from very hit shows and movies is having a tough time being optimistic.
So sad whoever it is
ReplyDeleteDidn't Mary Tyler Moore have cancer?
ReplyDeleteShe was A-list. Her show was named after her!
DeleteMaggie Smith had breast cancer
ReplyDeleteApplegate? :-(
ReplyDeleteMaura Tierney?
ReplyDeleteApplegate was my guess too. Would be very sad if it's her. She has a small child.
ReplyDeleteEdie Falco
ReplyDeleteMary T has diabetes. Beloved=old?
ReplyDeleteApplegate likely.
ReplyDeleteKate Jackson
ReplyDeletePlease don't let it be Kathy Bates. Please don't let it be Kathy Bates. Please don't let it be Kathy Bates.
ReplyDelete@Elissa that's my second guess. Yikes.
DeleteI really hope it isn't Dame Maggie Smith. Or any of these ladies, for that matter.
ReplyDeleteI hope this blind is made up and its no one.
ReplyDeleteMTM is A list, all the way.
ReplyDelete@Kristin, I've loved Kathy Bates in everything I've ever seen her in (though I haven't seen American Horror Story yet). But she's overcome both ovarian and breast cancer, which makes me worry that this is likely her.
ReplyDeletePlease not Kelly Bundy!
ReplyDeleteThis is how you know there is no god. Sweet Kelly Bundy ravaged by cancer, scrawny old cunt Madonna never gonna die :(
Count that's because the good die young. Some of us old, mean betches will live forever no matter how much we abuse ourselves.
DeleteI hope it's not Christina, or any of these ladies actually.
ReplyDeleteEven if I don't want this to be any good person, I don't think it's Kelly Bundy. This says she is beloved, and apart from some fans as Jerkula or myself, she is not in that club, at least as I recall.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds as someone older, as MTM, "the Queen"'s actress (I don't remember her name) or the old ladies from Downton Abbey.
@count I'm pretty sure Madonna is no longer human lol! She really needs to accept being over 50. Can not stand her.
ReplyDeleteThis is too sad for me to even take a guess. Horrible.
ReplyDeleteMeredith Baxter? She had breast cancer in the 90's and was on 2 television series. She definitely earned the title beloved for Family Ties.
ReplyDeletegood guess maureen
ReplyDeleteShit. I love Maggie Smith, Olympia Dukakis, Sally field, these are the ladies that come To mind.....or Judi dench, Helen Mirren....noooooooooo :( this makes me so sad...
ReplyDeleteKathy Bates?? Isn't she more movies than TV?? I'm thinking Edie Falco, although I wish this BI didn't have to be written.
ReplyDelete@Violet, in the past few years Kathy Bates has been on Harry's Law, The Office, and is currently on American Horror Story: Coven. She's been more TV of late than movies.
ReplyDelete@Elissa, yes I saw that after I posted..
ReplyDelete@Violet Still think its (sadly) a good guess.
DeleteBut Bates has won an Academy Award - I thought that awarded her permanent A List status.
ReplyDeleteMary Tyler Moore has Type I (juvenile) Diabetes. I know this because I have it and like her...but I don't think she's ever had cancer.
ReplyDeleteWhoever this is, I wish them the best of luck, and privacy if they want it.
ReplyDeleteDon't want it to be ANY of them!!! :(

Madge has been watching "Death Becomes Her" and is visiting Isabella Rossellini.
Maggie Smith and Mary Tyler Moore are permanent A list.
ReplyDeleteI would put Kathy Bates at A list too, but that is me.
Sandy Duncan
ReplyDeleteLol @Persia you are so right!
ReplyDeleteI thought Edie Falco also, sadly.
ReplyDeleteUnknown, my son is type 1 also. I know how tough it is to deal with day to day.
if Kathy Bates had ovarian cancer then it is likely her. There's no cure for ovarian cancer. :(
ReplyDeleteSophia, chances are if Kathy Bates breast cancer was so aggressive her ovaries would have been removed also.
