Amber Portwood Getting Out Of Jail Four Years Early

Four weeks from today Amber Portwood will walk out of jail a free woman after serving just one year of a five year sentence for drugs. Amber, who starred on the first teen Mom and is known for her violent outbursts voluntarily went to jail after telling a judge she couldn't stay clean without going to jail. I can already see the dollar signs swirling in MTV's mind. They had announced they were finished with all the cast from the original Teen Mom because of things like Amber going away to jail. Now though, with Amber getting out so early and Farrah Abraham always willing to do anything for a paycheck, preferably cash and by the hour it shouldn't take long for MTV crews to start rolling at least some kind of special. If things went well on the special you could probably expect to see another season or two of the show.

  1. Who would want to watch such a thing? I know there are people who do, apparently, but who are they? There are plenty of boring losers to encounter in everyday life--why waste your time watching them on tv?

I didn't watch her show. But judging from the article and what WareCat said, this is what I think will happen.
She gets out of jail and feels fat. Wants to slim down so decides to just do a little bit of speed. But just until she is skinny. Gets skinny, keeps using. Gets caught, gos back to jail.

  8. I don't understand why this crap is on TV. Glorifying an unwed teen mother who has an outrageous temper and a drug habit is not my idea of good programming. Add ex con to the mix and you've jumped the shark big time.

    1. Del-they in no way glorifed teenage pregnancy. If anything, showing what happens when you make not thought out decisions. If u watched the shiw, it showed them missing out on school, proms, going away to college, shiwed the boys drifting away, showed lack of sleep. It in no way glorified teenage pregnancy AT ALL. and all the girls said, avoid this if you can.

  9. I think being off of that show is the best thing for her road to recovery. From what I read, she most likely will get drug treatment. I remember that she is bipolar, hopefully she can find a therapist. I'm sure some of the drug use was self medicating.

  12. MTV needs to rebrand themselves the WTC channel. Their entire purpose is to create white trash celebrities. Who watches that crap?

  13. I worked with MTV from inception, it's disgusting now. However a show would be the worst thing for her, I hope she stays clean for her kid.

  14. I told people years ago when Real World came on that things would come to this but nobody believed me.

  15. @R.Rodimus: Did you work with David Carridine in your youth? Do you live in a large State now, but not the one you grew up in? I think you know my family.
