Zac Efron Went To Rehab For Cocaine

It's always the quiet ones who get into the most trouble. Because he is not a pap lover and doesn't call them everyday begging his photo to be taken and has some people he trusts to keep his mouth shut, Zac Efron was able to go to rehab for a serious cocaine addiction and no one even noticed. Now, when I say he is quiet, I mean he doesn't get into trouble publicly and kept his boozing and coke issues at home or on private jets with "models."

I'm actually surprised Zac didn't include some sex addiction in that rehab stint. I have always heard there are very few nights where Zac doesn't end up with someone different in bed and this includes when he was dating Vanessa Hudgens. If she wasn't with him, someone else filled the space, including some of his co-stars from High School Musical.

When Zac walked the red carpet in Toronto earlier this month no one even bothered to ask him about rehab because no one knew. So when a celebrity says they can't do anything without the tabloids or paps knowing don't believe them.

    1. True. The most exciting thing he's done is coke? Yawn.

  2. It's difficult to be so famous when you're so young. I think it would be easier to list the young/Disney stars who *haven't* had sex or substance addiction problems than to try to come up with a comprehensive list of those who have.

But good on him for keeping it quiet, doing it for himself, and getting it done. Hope it sticks.

  3. I wonder if he was an answer to a few blinds. The way this post is worded, makes me think no one knew about his problems.

  4. He is still my hearts one true love *sigh*

  5. I also wonder how many celebs go to rehab without anyone knowing. They just disappear for a few months. I usually think it's plastic surgery, but it could be rehab.

  6. Why are these young people so damaged?

Wasn't there a blind awhile back about a guy with models on a private jet?

  9. Naysayers should check out some of his post HSM work. I thought he was quite good in The Paperboy, and he's going to be in the upcoming Parkland.

I wish him well. Addiction is hard for anyone.

  11. He's adorable and I find him incredibly sexy. I'm also a little sad...for him. I'm glad he figured out that he needed to get some help.

  12. This is so interesting to me. I think the key here for keeping secrets from the tabloids is having true close friends who don't rat you out for a buck. Remember when Sandra Bullock kept adopting a baby under wraps for more than a year? Her friends and family knew, but never told anyone because they are GOOD friends.

Who knows, maybe cocaine and sex addiction go hand in hand. Some girls recently sold a story to some tabloid (maybe Star) about having a threesome with him. And the paps founds some pretty kinky sex stuff in his trash.

  15. I agree, Layna. I really liked him in Me & Orson Welles. Granted, that's the ONLY movie I've ever watched him in.

  16. I might be ashamed to admit this, but I liked that Matthew Perry movie he was in. And I think that's the only movie of his I've ever seen.

  22. I remember Zac saying in an interview a couple years ago how he took a meeting with Leonardo Dicaprio for career advice; how to parlay the Teen Beat covers into a long and successful career. Leo's one piece advice, Zac said, was "Don't do heroin." What was left unsaid, by implication of course, is that coke/booze/pills were acceptable, and that smack was the only thing that could without fail derail a career or life. I've been expecting coke problems to surface with Zac ever since I read that, so this is sad but expected. In short, blame Leo.

    1. Maybe Leo was referring to River Phoenix. River was a much bigger star than Leo was. I think if River hadn't OD we'd wouldn't even know who Leo is today.

Coke is one of those weird social drugs that some people can handle and some can't. Like booze. Some people are more susceptible to certain substances becoming addictive. Good for him for getting help and getting clean, and quietly. Bravo.

  25. I still have a teen crush on him. And he's more talented than people give him credit for.
