Your Turn

Do you think Miley Cyrus' little person band is offensive? I know she's doing it for shock value but at the same time it isn't like she bought the band and forced them to do this. They are getting a ton of attention and will probably make a lot more money from her and in the future then they would have otherwise.

  3. Miley Cyrus is just offensive but not in the cool, trendy, dark way she is hoping.

  4. Little people need to work too. It's whatever. I try not to pay mind to the new whore in training.

  5. Didn't Howard Stern already do this?

Still think Miley is aiming to be the next Gaga. Run, Liam, run!

  6. If they like it, I love it. Simple as that.

  7. Wait just one cotton picking minute.
I may be the only person in the world who hasn't seen Miley's video, but until now I've not heard anything about the band.
    She's using little people musicians?
Talk about going back to your white trash roots.
She's going for exploitation, but they're just as guilty, so if they can make their rent doing it and the only people they're hurting is themselves, go for it.
Just don't expect me to support it.

  8. They should get together with the Harajuku girls and form a minstrel union.

    I hate people today.

  9. The wrecking ball video is like Dirty back in the day.

It's a sad song, and is definitely a woman song. Worth a listen. Women are fucked up.

  10. Why would you go to a circus and complain that there's clowns?

  11. If Miley has a dwarf band, I'm going to have to see her in concert. Between dwarfs and barely legal bims, how could it not be a stellar show?

@Coolx3: I couldn't find real nudity, but in case VIP is too modest:

  12. There used to be a restaurant in Milwaukee called "Nacho Mamas". It featured little people wearing sombreros filled with chips & salsa. They would walk around and people would eat from their hats.

    That's all I got.

  14. I'm officially out of the Miley supporter camp. The VMAs did it for me. It wasn't immoral, it was ugly. Her legs looked like a raw whole chicken, and even her skin looked greasy and weird. It's hard to believe that anyone wants to have sex with her. She turned into a symbol of sadness, sadly. Stick a fork in her, she's done.

  15. @chopchop - I don't remember that restaurant. When was it around?

  16. Miley is a tramp. Billy didn't instill morals in her.

  17. Yes, bells, because he doesnt have any himself.
I dont why miley is doing this, but if the little people working for her are ok with it, fine. I wont be looking at it anyway.

  18. Miley will make money just like Hustler and Larry Flint. Courtney Love was spot on when she said Miley is punk in a white trash, abused, damaged way. It will sell, just like Hustler.

  19. First I'd heard of Miley's "little person band." Given what's considered to be socially acceptable these days, I'd be surprised if many people find this offensive. Certainly her "Smilers" won't, and they're the ones who'll be keeping Miley in clover for the rest of her life.

Still, since she does seem to be determined to offend as many people as possible, and since she also seems to have a real fetish for showing her "parts," I wonder why she doesn't just go ahead and do a porn video and get it over with.

  22. She is absolutely exploiting them. If she was auditioning for band members, and a little person came in who blew her away with his talent, then great, hire him. However, purposely hiring all little people to back her up is using them for accessories, like back-up dancers who all look alike.

  23. Little people often make their way in show business. I gather it's kind of a grey area with a bottom line akin to "hey, it's a job worthy of its pay". I didn't see the clip but figure the individuals involved felt it was worth it.

Has anyone seen that tv series from the UK about little people and the work they do? Stuff like pantomimes. It really sounds exploitative but if they are allaying some scratch put of it they may not mind being a novelty for someone who lacks creativity.

  27. Ms Cool, it was back in the late 90s. It was downtown, kinda by where Cubanitas is now. Johnny V, the guy behind Mo's, was the proprietor. I found an old article about it:
