Do you think Miley Cyrus' little person band is offensive? I know she's doing it for shock value but at the same time it isn't like she bought the band and forced them to do this. They are getting a ton of attention and will probably make a lot more money from her and in the future then they would have otherwise.

There used to be a restaurant in Milwaukee called "Nacho Mamas". It featured little people wearing sombreros filled with chips & salsa. They would walk around and people would eat from their hats.

ReplyDeleteI'm officially out of the Miley supporter camp. The VMAs did it for me. It wasn't immoral, it was ugly. Her legs looked like a raw whole chicken, and even her skin looked greasy and weird. It's hard to believe that anyone wants to have sex with her. She turned into a symbol of sadness, sadly. Stick a fork in her, she's done.

ReplyDeleteFirst I'd heard of Miley's "little person band." Given what's considered to be socially acceptable these days, I'd be surprised if many people find this offensive. Certainly her "Smilers" won't, and they're the ones who'll be keeping Miley in clover for the rest of her life.

ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely exploiting them. If she was auditioning for band members, and a little person came in who blew her away with his talent, then great, hire him. However, purposely hiring all little people to back her up is using them for accessories, like back-up dancers who all look alike.
