maybe this took place in cuba, but that is neither cuban, nor salsa. the all-important and crucial 'clave' (not the instrument, but rather the rhythmic pattern) that defines cuban salsa isn't remotely in the downbeat or rhythm. neither is that two-count of the song in the video remotely related to it. is, however, a hybrid of colombian cumbia (not to be confused with mexican cumbia), and soca (a wee bajan and a wee peruvian-sounding).
