Blind Item #7

This actress is mostly movies. She did have a nice little cameo arc on a hit television show at one point. Anyway she is B list now but only thanks to a franchise otherwise she is C list with A list name recognition. She also is not that concerned with much that goes on in life other than her. Two days ago she was at an event and someone started talking to her about Kenya and what was going on there. The actress confessed to knowing nothing about it and then asked if there were going to be goody bags at the event before walking off to check.

...and she drinks grade-A milk, takes vitamin E, earned B's in school, has type O blood, just got an X-ray, has been known to smoke a J now and then, nibbles on M&Ms, minds her Ps and Qs, watches movied that are rated R, drives a VW (that fits her to a T), and... she loves alphabet soup!

    1. You're probably right. She had a reoccurring role on 30 Rock.

    2. If this is Elizabeth Banks, she has 2 young children and probably doesn't have time to keep up with the news.

    3. I thought of her too.

I can't blame anyone too much fir this- if you have been super busy, traveling, etc, you might not see the news right away.
But mainly, pretty much everything a celeb says is reported these days, so if someone isn't 100% secure in their knowledge of a serious topic, I can understand not wanting to comment on it. An ill-informed or out of context sound bite can be disastrous PR.

  4. Elizabeth Reaser? Guest spot on Grey's anatomy. She may have too much tv work though.

    1. I thought Elizabeth Reader, too, but she was the lead on a short lived TV series a few years ago.

  5. Heather Graham? (Scrubs for show, if that counts as a 'cameo' and Hangover for the franchise.)

  6. But I thought Enty recently said something nice about Heather... (?)

  7. Can't be January - she's a mostly television actress. Goop is A. I wouldn't say Reaser is B but she does fit everything else and that was a good guess. Graham seems like the earth mother type and would probably care about at least organic products or the nvironment. Is she a Buddhist? She always seemed like the type to me.

  8. What about Ashley Greene? She did the stint on Pan Am

  11. You get the feeling that most of see showbiz types think that Kenya was a new trendy Vietnamese chef.

  12. Keep in mind, though, that LOTS of celebrities prefer not to share their private political thoughts. And sometimes when you're locked away in a studio on a project, you do kinda fall behind on current events.

Or she could be a completely dispassionate airhead.

it's not political to have a clue as to what is happening currently in Kenya though...if those shootings occured in the US, it wouldn't be considered "political" but a national tradegy due to fuckin religious zealots.

  14. Goop. Basically all movies except Glee story arc. Supposedly Enty's star rating is based on ability to open a movie and frankly she hasn't had a hit in over a decade except for Iron Man/Avengers. Well known, yes. Commercial, no.

  15. Who is the chick from Twilight who had a story arc on The Good Wife?

  16. I don't know what's happening in Kenya because it doesn't fucking concern me or anyone I am close to. Still, I know what will happen with it-

People will bitch about whatever is going on enough so that we (America) has to send troops over. Once we do that, people will bitch that we are war mongers and say America needs to quit trying to police the world.

There will be a big humanitarian effort where celebrities get Americans to send money to help the poor victims of whatever is going on. They will raise tens to hundreds of millions of dollars which will then never be seen or heard from again.

Isolationism is the best way to run a country. If it doesn't occur between the oceans surrounding you, who cares?

  17. Wow, are you really going to attack an actress for shallow interests on a Hollywood gossip site? Mr Pot would like to point out the dark color of Mr Kettle.

  18. Rowdy, are you our actress?

  23. Hi, long time reader. Photopost 2x/year but, never answered to blinds. (yikes! Be nice - I love you all!) I immediately thought Charlize Theron... She was in Aeon Flux - Total A name recognition. Also, she was in my personal favorite arc in any television series and was fantastic - Arrested Development. It seems to make sense someone would want to try to talk with her about Africa- to make a small connection that she is from South Africa.

  24. What Jon said. Don't knock an actress for not knowing or caring about an African country and what's happening there when MOST Americans don't give a sh!t. That's now excusing it but sometimes it's just too hard to care about all that's going on in the world.

  25. And P.S. . . . it's not Goopy because, despite her many faults, she does care about things other than what's going on in her life.

  29. Anyone who reads/watches/listens to the news would know what happened in Kenya. In this day and age I dont see how you can't know?

Goop may come across as arrogant, but I don't think she's dumb or uninformed.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I agree with it not being Goop. She's all about herself she's not stupid and does keep up with news and world events.

Too bad she doesn't google herself and find out what people say about her and then follow that up with doing something about it.

I can see Charlize doing this but not because she a dumbazz actress but because she doesn't want to speak on something tragic happening in Africa.

she was on entourage as vinnie's wife and now she is in star trek

  33. News flash: not everyone watches TV. You can have a perfectly fine life without it. There is little truth in propaganda. None of it has to effect you.

  34. Where are all the people who complain that actors should not get involved in politics and and that they are only paid to look good and memorize lines?
