Blind Item #3
This A list mostly television actress who is going to drop from A list soon because her show is kind of in limbo has been doing what she does best. Cheating on her significant other. She really is a piece of work.

Courtney Cox?
ReplyDeletedam I gotta go but im going with
ReplyDeleteBETTY WHITE
SMG? Guessing, not her I'd prefer.
ReplyDeleteCan't be Gellar as her show has only been on once. Too soon for CBS to panic especially since Robin Williams is the star. He must have gotten a guaranteed 13 ep commitment & possibly a full season one to do a show.
ReplyDeleteThe worst that could happen to their show is a new day & time.
It has to be someone who had a show last season & it has been tentatively scheduled for replacing a flop in a few months.
I'm going to go with Lea Michelle.
ReplyDeleteI keep asking the same question: Why in the frak does showbiz has the supreme, undisputed monopoly of worst kind of human garbage out there? Even liberals like me hate Hollywood because they are NOT qualified to represent us!
ReplyDeleteLea Michelle's signifigant other is dead so if it's her it's probably not really cheating.
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought Courtney cox as well, but her show has been renewed for another season.
ReplyDeleteIs The Newsroom in limbo? I thought Sorkin was still considering whether or not to continue the show.
ReplyDeletePelham, The Newsroom is still in limbo, but I wouldn't consider any of the women on the show to be A List television or otherwise.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Sorry, I have a hard time remembering who all is on the show. I know Fonda is A list and I thought Mortimer was too.
ReplyDeletePeter Choi, I'm a liberal and I love Hollywood ... mainly because I've been to the actual town many times. If you're talking about the entertainment industry, fine, but you'll find the same mentality among many very wealthy sociopath hordes -- Wall Street, Washington, DC, etc. There are just as many good and honest folk in that business.
ReplyDeleteI second the SMG guess. The network may be waiting for the ratings before signing up for another season.
ReplyDeletePelham, you're right about Fonda. I forgot about her because she doesn't appear on every episode. Still Fonda would be A List movie over A List television. I'm not sure if Emily Mortimer could hold a show on her own, so I would put her at B, but I do know she's getting a new show with HBO so maybe she can be A list.
ReplyDeletePoppy Montgomery or Alyssa Milano - because of their summer network shows.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Becca. It's too soon to tell with The Crazy Ones. It got good ratings, but can go either way. This does feel more like a show that's been on for at least a year and does questionable ratings: The Mindy Project, Once Upon A Time, Revenge, Nashville, The Neighbors, Last Man Standing all have ratings dropping significantly to on the bubble status. Mike & Molly and Suburgatory are in limbo because they are slated for midseason unless a new sitcom bombs on their respective networks. If we are looking at new shows: Mom didn't do so well (comparative to CBS standards) and I think it's been suggested here that Anna Faris cheats, but is she considered A List Television? B list movie maybe. I don't know Allison Janney's relationship status, but I don't even want to think it. Hostages premiered low but Toni Collette would be called a movie actress. Lucky 7 doesn't have a chance but has relatively unknown actors.
ReplyDeleteVita, both of their shows just got renewed. News about it has just been in the last few days, so the blind could have been written before then, but they aren't in limbo any longer.

ReplyDelete@westwingwolf - Kind of in limbo to me means a show that should have died but has been renew but in a poor timeslot or to be shown in the summer.
ReplyDeleteNewsroom has been picked up for S3. Just binge watched it and really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteClaire Danes??
ReplyDeleteThe does best part would mean it's not the first time she's cheated. Haven't heard of any rumours of any of The Newsroom cast lately in the news for cheating.

ReplyDeleteJennifer Carpenter? Dexter may be having a spinoff. I don't know how that would work for her character though.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise I would say SMG, even though I don't really see her cheating on Freddie.
I've said it before and I'll say it again (and again, and again) - people in the real world (us, our neighbors, our co-workers) cheat and do drugs too. I'm sure it's done at a higher rate in Hollywood b/c they are better looking, have plenty of free time, and have a lot of extra $$. Make everyone at your job gorgeous and rich, and give them lots of free time...it'll be the same situation. There's not some freak gene in Hollywood (outside of the real creepos).
ReplyDeleteIt's Hayden Panitterri/whatever
ReplyDeleteThe clues in this blind are that it's ... someone female on tv? That's all I'm getting, clue-wise.
ReplyDeletePeter Choi, first of all: Speak for yourself. Most people, liberal, conservative, otherwise, don't hate Hollywood. You do. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteSecond.... A month after we saw children writhing and dying after have been gassed with Sarin by their government, and students whose school had been attacked with napalm or a fair approximation thereof, you're going to call unfaithful sexual partners "worst kind of human garbage"????
Good God, man, take a look at your priorities!
all?
ReplyDeletePhew don't scare me about The Newsroom being in limbo, thanks Brady! Love that show.
ReplyDeleteSince Jennifer Carpenter's character ended up uh in a position not to be in a spin off, unless in flashbacks or doing a Dexter prequel, she's not in contention.
ReplyDeleteI agree Hollywood just represents the general cultural malaise only magnified because of the circumstances, money, time and opportunity, and it does apply to all the rich and famous and fabulous from professional athletes to fashion to socialites and tycoons.
We just don't hear as much as Joe Blow the unemployed guy down the street servicing the neighbourhood housewives whilst his wife is out earning a living to support the family.
Hayden Panettiere. Nashville's likely to be cancelled this year.
