The Lonely Doll And Famke Janssen

I had not really thought about Famke Janssen much the past couple of years. I would see her in a pap photo and then last week I decided to put her in the photos. The next thing you know she is in the news and relevant again and called police because of something that happened over the weekend.

She told police that she was in and out of her apartment all day on Saturday. She went home for the last time at 8pm and when she went into her bedroom she saw the book The Lonely Doll on a shelf in her bedroom. She says she has never seen it before and it had not been there earlier in the day. Needless to say she was a bit freaked out. Not only did someone actually know who she was but she had a stalker. Guaranteed news coverage. The book is creepy and if you were thinking of picking a perfect stalking book, The Lonely Doll is right at the top of the list. Think about the leave behind possibilities. It is excellent. Throw in a copy of a star map from a great company and you have yourself a DIY stalker kit.

Police have no suspects. Famke is the only one with a key. There is no video. There was no forced entry. Maybe Famke got it for Christmas and has been on an 8 month bender and just noticed it.

  2. There's a fascinating biography of the woman who wrote that. The Secret Life of the Lonely Doll. One of the best books I've ever read.

  3. I feel for her. the super of my building was coming into my apartment (and others as it turned out) w/o my knowing. things would be in different places than where I left them and I lived alone. very creepy and it took me a while before I figured out what was happening.

    hope she's ok.

  4. She is really gonna be embarrassed when she figures out this has all been an elaborate prank pulled by Matt Damon's wife.

  5. Funny she just costarred in the Summer movie Wolverine and now she has a stalker, interesting timing.

Never read or heard of the book, guess I will have to google/wiki it.

  6. Ok, just read the synopsis of the story not sure how it a children's book about a girl and her two teddy bears relates to stalkers, or did I miss something?

  7. Wow, it's kind of presumptuous to accuse her of faking a stalker.
I'm not famous or a world class beauty and I had one, and to this day it affects certain aspects of my life.

  8. Atleast the stalker was smart enough not to leave a DNA sample as a present, on her pillow.

I'ma guess X-Men fan, not Taken fan.

  12. I've had weird and creepy things like this happen at my last residence. One of the main things this person would do was steal my light bulbs. The first was the one in my fridge. He left Life Savers candies on my car as well. Never figured out who did it or how they got in my house.

  13. Remember the true case where things kept happening to a woman and it turned out a man had been camping out in the crawlspace area above her apartment? The access to the crawlspace was in the ceiling of her bathroom.

    1. My stalker was entering my bedroom through the attic crawl space. The other side of my duplex was empty at the time.

  15. You'd have to be 150% positive before you called the police. I think that book is the type of book you'd remember getting. It must have been prominently placed on the book shelf in order for her to have noticed.

I'm thinking it was a ghost.

What case was this? This is horrible! I am thankful I live with my husband now, but living alone as a woman can be pretty sketchy.

  19. I like Famke, just not as Jean Grey. She was kinda awesome in Hemlock Grove.
This would scare me, if I noticed it was there. I've got a uh..few books.

  20. Matt Damon's wife found his key to her apt ( weren't they rumored to be hooking up) and deceided to plant the book there to let Famke know she found out and give her a warning to back off her man.

  21. OK. Where was her dog? Famke is not the only one with a key...maintenance has one as does, management and anyone who lived there before. They never change the locks. If the deadbolt wasn't engaged anyone can get into most apartments without force. Sounds like a load of crap to me.
