Blind Item #5

This A+ list mostly movie actor, who is probably the definition of a movie star, was at an event last week. It was at a hotel and there was a LGBT convention or gathering going on. The actor was overheard in a hallway screaming in a whisper, "There are not going to be any gay people where we are going right? You know I can't stand gay people. No gays!!." When you think about it, you kind of just say to yourself how much it all make sense.

  1. Tommy Pretty Boy Cruise

  2. Not Cruise because he worked with Brian Singer a notorious gay director on Walkyrie

  4. By the description you'd think someone along the likes of Nicholson, Eastwood, Pacino, Tom Hanks or even Kirk and Michael Douglas.

  5. Tom is ALL movies. He's not done anything else. No ideas but don't think it's him.

    1. He was on the show bosom buddies early in his career.

  6. It hardly sounds like Brad Pitt, but he's the only other person I can think of as "definition of a movie star." His role on 'Friends' putting him into the Mostly Movie category.

Cruise did the famous "Two Toms" Oscar telecast after 9-11. Is that enough to put him into 'mostly movie' territory?

  7. I'm gonna say Denzel Washington because I m hung up in the definition of a movie star part ie looks and acts the part of a movie star.

  8. @ sandy definitely NOT Denzel. He's an asshole of epic proportions, but not a "gay hater". Huge supporter of Debbie Allen's dance academy in LA that has many LGBT students and instructors. Not that that's the only reason, but he does have gay men and women that work for his production company.

  9. The only way I can think it would make sense for Pitt is because of his mom's views in that letter from last year...

  10. Ok then we should concentrate on A+ stars touring to promote movies right now I guess.

I think the last line implies that the actor doesn't want to associate with gays because he is in the closet and the rumors not because he's a hater. Many closeted gay people try to use antigay words and actions to hide their true sexuality.

  13. Hugh Jackman or Will Smith

  14. Has to be Tom, irony being he hates what he is.

  15. It's not Brad Pitt - he and Angie were the first to publicly declare they were waiting for marriage until marriage equality happened.

p.s. Kristen and Dax, it hasn't happened yet.

  16. I'm with you, @P.

I read the full article with Pinchot last year and it's so full of juicy details, I wonder why it hasn't gotten around more. Like when he says someone called him and said "Guess who got caught with a transvestite?" (Eddie Murphy) and that it was only fitting, same as Tom Cruise.

  17. Anything going on in Dallas last week that would fit?

  19. I was at a wedding a couple years ago, and the bride and her mom, had just gone to the nearest hotel to cut a deal for room rates for after the wedding, w/o Googling the joint. Well known national chain, with a bar, what could go wrong?

On Friday and Saturday nights it was basically a gay resort. Hook up in the bar and take it to a room. DJ, dancing, whole 9 yards. The bride's mom was mortified, and apologizing too much. What I said to her, "Its no big deal. Calm down. I actually enjoy it. No one is going to be hitting on my girlfriend and if she gets pissy and goes to bed early, I have a way better chance of picking someone up that if it was a straight bar."

Yeah, she looked at me like I was an asshole, but everyone else laughed.

While we were having drinks at the pool some EMTs came running out, asking where a room # was. We pointed, "First floor down at the end." Turns out some dude's heart gave out while banging, thanks to a mix of crystal and dick pills.

  20. Don't get stuck in the "mostly movie" description. Back when actors in blinds were described as "all movie" you could be sure that sooner or later someone would make a big deal of some one-off guest starring role in some obscure TV show 25 years ago... It was changed to "mostly movie", but people still read these way too literally.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if this was Cruise. The deeper you are in the closet the more homophobic you are. Deep down he must really hate himself.

  21. Or the GaymerX convention?

  23. This has got to be Cruise. But he chose the wrong industry if he hates gay people.

  24. Can this be revealed so I can boycott this douche?

  25. I have to say, with all I read on Scientology sites, I don't actually believe Tom Cruise is gay and I think he's definitely got some homophobia in him from that Bronson Pinchot interview from a couple years back. Nah. That guy's got a crapload of other issues like a massive ego, demi-god complex, and control issues (and does the gay community want him?).

And I don't think Miscavige, a raving homophobe himself just like Daddy Hubbard, would insist his clams treat Cruise with such deference if he were. People are supposed to call Cruise "sir," FFS. They treat John Travolta, who I do believe is gay and has been trying to cure himself using Scientology all this time, with more of a sneering tolerance as he hasn't managed to "handle" homosexuality.

  26. That Bronson interview, the way it's worded was very clear to me. It came off as Tom, as a young man, trying to sound macho and masculine, compensating for something. We all know homophobes scientifically have been estimated to have some gay thoughts or tendencies, and the quotes provided sounded exactly like someone masking a truth.

  27. Maybe he does. If so, he may bury it hard enough that it's not something that's ever come out in auditing or the sea org types that talk about Cruise on certain COS critic sites would be talking about it. The consensus seems to be that they don't believe he is. They don't seem to like him enough to "protect" his reputation as he treats them like non-entities or slave labor and doesn't hesitate to report them and get them sent to the RPF (Prison camp, basically).

Travolta, on the other hand, they all seem to like as he goes out of his way to be nice to them, but there seems to be an agreement he's gay even though he's trying to "handle" it, which is why the higher-ups treat him with such disdain.

  28. If I'd come upon this twit, I'd have whispered back, "Yes, there's gays...gays as far as the eyes can see! Run back into your closet!" And hopefully his security would laugh as hard as I did, so I could outrun them.

  29. Hmmm, Travolta.

  30. Tom Cruise was my one and only guess.

  31. What A+ list mostly movie actor, who is probably the definition of a movie star, was at an event, IS IN THE WRONG FUCKING PROFESSION?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Tom Cruise is notoriously homophobic - read Andrew Morton's biography of him. Other actors have reported it as well.

  33. Yup there was a blind almost exactly like this years ago, it was Tommy.

  34. The last line is written 2nd person as a nod to "Risky Business."
