Blind Item #3

This B list mostly television actress who is on a hit premium cable show has been pressuring her boyfriend of three weeks to get married because she thinks it will help her during awards season if she can walk red carpets with her new husband. I don't think you fully appreciate how truly off her rocker this actress is. The reason she previously got divorced was that she cheated, but then was hoping for a People Magazine cover to talk about how she was healing.

  1. Betty White. The off her rocker just sealed it for me since White has a show called Off Their Rockers.

  2. Emmy Rossum (Shameless on Showtime)

  3. Elizabeth Moss. That's weird though - I think she's so cute and friendly on Watch What Happens Live.

    1. And she nominated for an Emmy, which is next month.

    2. AMC not premium cable network - HBO,showtime, starz

    3. Negative. Moss is a huge whackadoo, and that's besides being a Scieno. I have a friend who dressed her for an event, said she was Stage 3 crazy.

  4. @nevermindthat- I knew the answer was always Betty White.

  5. If AMC is considered premium cable, I'm going with Elisabeth Moss.

  6. I like the Emmy Rossum guess too - but isn't she revealed to be a total bitch and always chasing a dude with more dollars?

  7. I thought Armisen was widely known to be the cheating party (with Abby Elliott).

  8. 'Premium Cable' is usually an Enty term for extra-pay channels like HBO, Showtime, etc. AMC is just cable.

"Premium cable" to me means HBO or Showtime, not AMC. AMC is part of standard cable packages, while HBO and Showtime are $$$$$ every month.

  10. AMC is basic cable.
Premium cable is HBO, Showtime, Cinemax and Starz.

Emmy Rossum's marriage and subsequent divorce was a low-key affair. If the blind item is true, it would explain a lot: she thought she would get an exclusive in a magazine and got nothing.

It is probably Emmy Rossum, even though she isn't nominated. I'm sure she'll still go to the Emmys and Golden Globes, and having a new husband would get her more press.

  14. I really don't see how walking the red carpet with her "new husband" supposedly would help her with awards whoever this is........is that a factor now??

  15. Jennifer Carpenter!

  17. I thought Michael was the one who cheated????

  18. I second Jennifer Carpenter. Or third it, I guess.

  19. I don't think anyone should be throwing eliz. moss under the bus. she's a really great actress and doesn't need a husband on her arm to help her get anything.

also, this blind seems really fake to me.

  20. I think Elizabeth is nominated for the miniseries she did on the Sundance Channel--Top of the Lake.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yeah Elisabeth has two nominations - Jennifer Carpenter may work

    ReplyDelete
  22. AMC is not premium cable
Moss just doesn't seem that desperate to me. She is a talent. Top of the Lake was great and she was great in it. She doesn't need a husband for publicity.

Who is Emmy Rossum supposed to be dating? I thought she was supposed to be after a bigger name than her for press.

She did get hype when she was the hot new starlet, but that faded & she is supposed to be conviced that it wouldn't have if she had a celebrity boyfriend.

  24. Jennifer Carpenter, trying to find proof

  25. must be one of the comedy actresses cant make the drama actresses work.

  26. She should have contacted Beards are Us, then she could have gotten a taker. ;)

  27. Emmy Rossum is not nominated for an Emmy. Neither is Shameless. I don't think it's her.

Jennifer Carpenter has been with her boyfriend (who is still technically married I think) for longer than 3 weeks--this article is dated over two months ago. She is also not nominated.

  29. A couple of days ago someone claiming to be a H'wood script doctor contributed to a Reddit thread about "Dirty little (or Big) secrets" from the industry you work in. He said that Elisabeth Moss is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet but her marriage to Fred Armisen was entirely the idea of Co$, who wanted to lure a younger, hipper crowd and thought his image would help.

    1. I read that thread! Man did it make me sad though. So many people hating their jobs. But I was one of them too, so I get it. Thank god I can stay at home with my kids right now, but when I reenter the workplace I feel my spirit will be broken again. Ah corporate life.

  30. FWIW, he also said that Katy Perry is quiet, religious and more prudish than you'd expect and that she views her stage persona as exactly that - an act.

  31. Scientology rears its ugly head (and agenda) again? Still don't think its Moss.

  32. Dr Steve, NV,

Thanks for the info about the Reddit thread.

    Great avi, btw.

  33. It's not Moss - she's been dating a Mad Men cinematographer since last year, and from recent articles appear to still be together.

Emmy just broke up with a co-star, so maybe a new guy will serve as tabloid fodder AND a rebound? http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/emmy-rossum-tyler-jacob-moore-split-report-article-1.1392307

  34. Dr Steve, NV: the original post was deleted. But someone must have done a screenshot and then transcribed in another post below. Here it is:

I work as a script doctor; I have so much dirt on hollywood and the entertainment world...
As this won't be seen by anyone because we're seven hours in: Katy Perry is nothing like you think; Every funny person in hollywood has a joke writer and that includes Mistress Lawrence; All those cool indie movies with comedians? They're studio movies paid for through complex subsidiaries; No one is making movies for you - all these super hero films are aimed at China; Not a single studio is worried about irrelevance, Netflix or the like, it's an excuse to be lazy in all honesty; Scientology are far more ingrained than you dare to imagine; Porn stars turn up in every party; most those celebrity marriages are shams; There's a lot of hardcore religion out here; Rape, fuck loads of rape; Every studio is planning a kickstarter project; A suprising amount of actresses slept there way to the top; Elisabeth Moss is the nicest person you'll ever meet.
I could go on for so long."

  35. @Bally You're welcome! It's a shame he deleted his posts because there was a solid amount of juicy stuff there. I dig your AVI too, by the way.

@Jayne Thanks for digging that up - there were other posts too, where he explained why he liked Liz Moss so much (she saw him crying about having lost his studio ID and got him past security into a writer's meeting he otherwise would have missed) and a few other things.

He described Stephen Colbert as someone who used to be a lot of fun but has been sad ever since something "shook his faith" last year. He didn't elaborate on that. Said Louis CK is an extremely depressing human being, which doesn't come as a surprise, really.

  36. Another user posted this:

"This was my favorite because I was once a naive aspiring actress. I wound up a personal assistant to a d-list psychopath. Made connections, thought I might have a shot. As I made my way up, I realized that behind every door is a man who expects a BJ or worse. I had a horrible experience with a well-known director. When you say rape, fuck loads of rape, I believe it. I tell people all the time that Hollywood is one big dirty illusion. They don't want to believe the A-List stars had to do anything sexual to get where they are. The casting couch is alive and well."

  37. A couple more quotes from the same user because it's a slow day at work:

"I'm sure there are people who made it to the top without having to give sexual favors. I found out about the rape from actors and actresses themselves and it almost happened to me. Aside from the select few who escape the abuse, and most of them are already connected to Hollywood in some way, most of the time you will encounter the dark side. Sometimes, even children of famous people are still exposed to the abuse. If you survive show business without being propositioned, the stars were aligned in your favor."

"I think it is the worst-kept secret. It's mostly done by big producers, directors, sometimes agents. Some of the worst perpetrators of abuse in show business are extremely powerful- they can control what kind of press they get. They can make or break a star overnight. So you hear rumors here and there that are accepted as a sad truth. You really do sell your soul to the devil for fame."

"Child actors are often blatantly abused. Straight molestation/rape. Older actors face the "fuck me or I'll ruin your career" and yes, real hold-you-down rape. I wasn't raped but this psychopathic evil director tried. That traumatized me enough to get the F out."

  38. Holy Shit! These Reddit posts are fascinating! Please keep them coming!

  39. I should have added, though, she was nice to my friend.. just all kinds of crazy talk. Looking back, maybe it was all just Co$ driven. Maybe she was just coming off one of those niacin overloads they nearly kill people with...I still like her acting, myself. I hope Leah Remini really writes a deeep tell all, and names names and just blows that mother up, but that's a lot to ask of one person.
