Blind Item #10

This sometime actress/sometime comedienne finished talking to this B list mostly movie actress with much higher name recognition and came back to her friends and called the actress a f**king Nazi and is glad her parents didn't have to meet the actress.

  4. I'm assuming the comedienne is of a Jewish background. No idea who the might be racist actress is.

  5. Many thanks to nevermindthat for being the first and thus far only commenter to realize that this is a blind about two people.

  6. Probably cause none of us had a guess for the other person...

  7. Why in the hell do you feel the need to link to people's names?
    That's a bit pompous, don't you think?
That said, I was thinking Kathy Griffith for this one, she did some Seinfeld.

  8. Bacon Ranch, because it makes names in replies match names in original posts.

But it pissing you off is a great bonus.

  9. Kathy Griffin was also on Brooke Shields' show, Suddenly Susan. But would a B list actress have "much higher" name recognition than her? Everyone seems to know who KG is.

  10. Kathy griffin not Jewish.

  11. I see JAS. Thing is I don't follow along like you apparently do.
Glad I could make your day!
Karen I appreciate your correction with the spelling. Griffin.

  12. @Karen, I read this as the "much higher" describing the B list actress, not the actress
/comedienne. Much the way that Enty says "B list actress with A list name recognition".
*sigh* With blinds this confusing--and does it seem like that's happening more often lately?--there's not much point trying to guess.

  13. Can't be either Kathy griffin or janeanne garofalo as neither are Jewish. Janeann's mother died. Post implies comedian has parents and is Jewish. Sarah Silverman fits both. No idea who b list actress is.

  14. I personally didn't post a guess for the second party involved because "B list mostly movie actress" could be hundreds of women. There's not nearly enough to go on for me to hazard a guess.

  15. You guess one name on a post about two people of the same gender, there is room for valid confusion about whom you are talking.

I get the Sarah Silverman vibe from the Actress/Commedienne, too. I don't think that only Jews dislike f**king Nazis, though, so I'm open to it being many another actress who also does sketch or stand-up comedy. Amy Poehler? Why not?

But, let's tentatively posit that the Actress/Comedienne is Sarah Silverman. The next step is the question: Which "B list mostly movie actress" has she been seein spending time with lately?

That seems a rational way to try to figure this out.

  16. @Jonathan Andrew Sheen - So the one person guesses of Jeanine Garofolo, Sarah Silverman, & Whitney Cummings really had you confused as to who the guess was about? Confused them with a B list mostly movie actress with much higher name recognition? Really? None of them fit that description. I think you're nitpicking for some attention which unfortunately has worked.

  17. Diane Kruger? Mostly movies with a new tv show

  18. I don't know the comedian but how about Kiki for the actress. She does have her newfound German citizenship.

  19. I agree with Sarah, it must be someone German. Sarah Silverman and Diane Kruger

  20. These comments assuming it's someone Jewish are rather idiotic. Most Jews, not even blunt-spoken ones like Silverman, don't label others Nazis lightly.

It's not Silverman anyway. She's an A-/B+ stand-up so it would be rare for a B-list actress to have higher name recognition than her. Plus her parents are long divorced.

If authentic, it had nothing to do with the slamee being German. Sounds more like someone slamming a COS drone as a Nazi. Someone flipped out on Kelly Preston?

  21. Would it be someone she recently worked with at a mutual event, such as a premiere of their movie or an awards show? Something where the comedian's parents might (but did not) attend with her as guests? It's a weird comment to make if it's NOT meaning Nazi in an anti-Semitic way. "She's a bitch, I'm glad she isn't meeting my folks" is an odd comment, but "she dislikes Jews, so I'm glad my Jewish relatives aren't meeting her" is more plausible.

Perhaps the B-lister made a Jewish joke about someone in the industry (or used a stereotype) or commented negatively about Israel?

  22. When people say "f** nazis", it s often to emphasize their authoritarian, insufferable, bitchy, bossy sides more than their antisemite beliefs...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah, how exactly did everyone start assuming that the actress in question is Jewish? Just because nevermindthat did? Way to be a bunch of sheep, people.

  24. For the actress, I would guess Megan Fox because the specific Nazi reference. She is known for movies now, but started in tv and her name is well known.
I am terrible at these though.

  26. I was thinking that the comedienne was Sandra Bernhard. I have no idea who the actress is tho.

  27. Same, I thought Sandra Bernhard as the comedienne too.

  28. I was thinking the Nazi is a known hardliners conservative and the comedienne is probably a known liberal.

In political ranting, hard line liberals= communist and hardline conservatives = Nazi.

At least that's how I read it.

    1. Having said that, Bo Derek is the only B, high name recognition, conservative, movie actress I can think of.

  29. Truth is we will never figure out b list actress, not enuf clues to figure it out

  30. Simon is right- clearly blind is about guessing the comedienne/actress and probably silverman or garofolo, maybe griffin- sounds like something they all would do and say but no clue about b actress other than not liked by comedienne which doesn't narrow it down much because all three are haters and crazy. The actress could be a very nice person but not down with the silverman/garofolo/griffin agenda and therefore need to be badmouthed and hated- all three are pretty disgusting although griffin is funny when recounting celeb encounters when keeping her politics out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I could see the B-list actress being a known religious conservative, or COS.

Garofalo and Griffin are outspoken about not having the moral agenda of others forced upon them, and there's nothing disgusting about that. It's the vocal minority who think they have a right to preach in people's faces that who are disgusting.

  32. I read this as Chelsea Handler b/c she calls people nazis. I know her mother is deceased but be referring to a time they could have met her. No idea who the nazi is.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I just re-read my comment and I kind of sound like a lunatic but I'm still going with Chelsea.

    ReplyDelete
  34. When Chelsea did WDYTYA didn't she have actually Nazis in her family???

    ReplyDelete
  35. What about Wanda Sykes? Nazis didn't like anybody who wasn't blond and blue eyed. She might have been more likely to say stupid racist honky cracker bitch though.

Difficult bl...most comediennes are liberal. That could be anyone. Sounds like the comedienne may have a c/d rating though. Im going to say kathy griffith. Shes very vocal about her leftist leanings, support of gay and transgenders. I could see her losing her sh#$ if someone said something sideways to her on those subjects.
