Sadly I don't live in the USA, but my twitter has been smoking since it, so I have downloaded it ("security and legal" copy, dear and highly loved riaa, as its local counterpart, both my dearest and most appreciated entities), and God knows I'll watch it tonight.
Had it on in the background. Honestly, the titles of all the films SyFy aired last night seemed to be the best thing about them: "Super Shark" and "Two-Headed Shark Attack" preceded and followed, respectively, "Sharknado."
I did! I laughed so hard I cried. Tara Reid's acting was ah, well something. It was a true cinematic master piece of epic proportions. Still not better then Black Sheep (New Zealand movie, not Chris Farley)
Missed it. I remember when I first learned years ago, that there'd be a cable channle dedicated to the science fiction genre. I was excited. When they announced they'd be making their own, original content, I thought of all the wonderful and creative science fiction novels out there, ripe to be translated to a series or movie. Instead we have cheesy, F-list crap full of horrible CGI. This is the modern version of those campy, made-for-TV disaster mini-series from the late 70's and early 80's starring has-beens like Chad Everett and Barbi Benton, only now it's Tom Wopat and Greg Evigan in junk like "Rock Monster," or "Gnome of Terror," or some such shit. Okay, I made up the gnome one, but it would fit in with what Syfy offers up. They probably could just call a movie "Some Such Shit."
It was perfectly awful. Loved it! You could see the lack if budget in every shot. Oh, and poor John Heard. It looked as if he was completely soused the entire time he was on camers.
I was about 13-14, in the bathroom, Club magazine open to the centerfold. A busty brunette who went by the name of Saber. She had that big late 80's early 90's hair, but only on top, if ya catch my drift. It was weird, I didn't know what to expect or what was going on, but after that, I was hooked.
Watched about 40mins by choice at a bar. We only wished we had closed captioning, though we enjoyed improvising our own dialogue. Loved it. Team Steve Sanders.
totally agree with you loopy.. PERFECTLY awful!! if you stared deep enough into john heard's eyes you could see even he was wondering what the hell he was doing there!! but i think my favorite part was when the ferris wheel at the santa monica pier rolled off and killed people in the streets..
That ferris wheel scene was pretty awesome. I think the climax with the great white and the knife was my favorite scene. We laughed through the entire movie.
like Libby I missed it but thoroughly enjoyed the Wheaton twitter feed. I plan on catching it this weekend. So bad it's golden is what I have been hearing.
It tanked in the ratings, thank god. Maybe now syfy will work on putting out a better product instead of making half assed crap on purpose for ratings. In my opinion, if theyre not gonna even try to make a good movie, they dont deserve good ratings.
I saw the last half hour. And yes it's early, but the Oscar, Emmy, Tony and Grammy buzz are all agog over Steve Sanders's performance! He didn't sing in the film -- his acting was just that good!

Watched Sharknado, and it was glorious! John Heard as pseudo-Norm was a pleasant surprise.

My guy loves that kind of kitschy sci fi/horror stuff, I just can't with the acting, film speed and production values. Can't do it. get bored.
