Today's Blind Items - Sex With A Co-Star
Most of the time if you are a guest star on a show and decide to sleep with the star of the show nothing is going to come of it. This time was different though. The star is just about A list. I think that he is probably A list because of his two very very long running hit television shows. Plus, he has A list name recognition. Plus he has this air of mystery about him that people think is fun. Anyway, he is also a bit of a player. OK, a lot of a player and he has been known to enjoy the women who come on to his show. He enjoys them a lot. A few years ago while our actor was married, one of the guests on his show was a woman who was probably C-/D+ at the time. She came on the show and, even though she is married to a D- list actor, she slept with our A lister. Somehow his wife found out, but the actress confronted the wife and denied it. Repeatedly. Said the A list actor was a perfect gentleman and a great actor and really sold it well. She sold it so well that the actor recommended her for a part which she ended up getting which is the lead on a very hit cable show and a level of fame that she has never had before.
So wanted this to be Michael C Hall, but I don't think it quite fits.
ReplyDeleteI want to say Piper Parabo (sp?) for the actress.
ReplyDeleteSarah Hyland: Modern Family
ReplyDeleteGuest starred: Law & Order SVU
A list tv star: detective Munch
Haha!!! :)
DeleteI love munch!
DeleteI was thinking someone on Dexter pre-Julia Stiles, but I can't figure out who would fit.
ReplyDeleteChristina Hendricks guest starred on Las Vegas (Tom Selleck) prior to Mad Men, but she married her D list actor husband after she got Mad Men
ReplyDeleteNot Piper or Sarah since it says the actress was married to a D lister at the time.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Belzer guess! I had such a crush on Munch when he was on "Homicide".
ReplyDelete@libby "had a crush?" Girl, please.
DeleteRichard Belzer is still fine.
Delete@libby I love Homicide. I am actually rewatching it now! Bayliss is the sexiest man ever!!!!
DeleteSo I take it he is no longer married but was at the time he had affair.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any other cable shows besides True Blood where the lead is a woman. Most cable shows have women as supporting roles. Hmmm was Mary Louis Parker married or the actress from the C word?
Claire Danes is the female star of a very hit cable show.
DeleteSorry meant to say Laura Linney from The Big C
ReplyDeleteSounds like she is still married to the D lister.
ReplyDeleteDuchovny, although I have no idea who the now-famous co-star is/was.
ReplyDeleteI was feeling the Hendricks guess since her hubby is a C list actor but since I do not watch MM I was not sure if she is considered a lead role
ReplyDeleteLaura's not married. Plus she used to be mostly movie, not TV till recently.
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting one. Feels like it should be really easy, but it's not, lol.
I think the actor is Kelsey Grammer I dont know who the girl is
ReplyDeleteMary McCormack was on Law & Order Criminal Intent with Chris Noth. She's now the lead on In Plain Site.
ReplyDeleteChris Noth. I considered Ted Danson, but he's definitely A list and how much of a player can someone who dated Whoopi Goldberg be?
ReplyDeleteI thought of David Boreanez. He is still married but otherwise seems to fit perfectly?
ReplyDeleteBut Claire Danes had her own hit show before and Hugh Dancy is not D list
ReplyDeleteBut Claire Danes had her own hit show before and Hugh Dancy is not D list
ReplyDeleteKelsey is a good guess. So is Selleck I guess with his new show. There can't be that many actors who have had TWO very, very long running hit TV shows. Frasier and Cheers definitely fit that.
ReplyDeleteMark Harmon?
Am I the only one who thought Charlie Sheen? Nit sure about the rest of the blind though
ReplyDeleteKept feeling John Stamos for this one.
ReplyDeleteI thought about Sheen but its 2 long running hit shows and the ive hes on now doesn't fit
ReplyDeleteNeither Sheen not Grammar have an "air of mystery" about them....
ReplyDeleteIf I thought Don Johnson had any mystery to him he fits as well but I know better
ReplyDeleteJohn Stamos comes to mind for some reason....
ReplyDeleteKristin, are you saying you liked Belzer TOO?! Or did my wording offend? I WAS in my 20's then...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, that's what I would call an infatuation with a famous person, someone I would never possibly meet.
Please let me know if I've misinterpreted your comment. I hope it was that you like him too....I LOVE skinny men, too too much.
@libby I STILL think Belzer is good looking and mysterious. I love him.
DeleteYou did not offend :)
I am down with David Duchovny for this one.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness, Kristin, I have endured many odd looks over my Belzer interest. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteMirelle Enos.
ReplyDeleteMarried Alan Ruck in Jan 2008.
Was on CSI Miami in 2008.
"A" lister: David Caruso (CSI Miami and NYPD Blue). Air of mystery is why he thought he was a better, more desirable actor than he was when he left NYPD Blue.
@libby no need to travel alone, good friend. We shall walk side by side on this road of life and mutual love for our surly detective.
ReplyDeletei love that Mirelle Enos/Caruso guess
ReplyDeleteChris Meloni was on OZ before SVU...
ReplyDeleteDavid Caruso/Mireille Enos doesn't work with the clue that he was married at the time of her guest starring episode.
ReplyDeleteLarry David and Vivica Fox
ReplyDeleteJean Smart guest starred on a few episodes of Frasier. She is married to actor Richard Gilliland since 1987 according to Wiki. She went on to star in 24 and Harry's Law, and received Emmy nominations for both. She has been in a lot of things, so I'm not sure if it fits for her having a "level of fame that she has never had before".
ReplyDeleteLongest running non-children's, non-news, non-talk show:

Law & Order: SVU

Two and a Half Men
Those are JUST shows that have at least ten years on them.
Kelsey fits, not many others. Unless you think Becker was on for a long time and the actor is Danson,
Wait, this is David Boreanaz and Julie Benz and her ex John Kassir.
ReplyDeleteDoes Julie Benz and Michael C Hall work?
ReplyDeleteJulie Benz doesnt quite work because 1) she wasnt a guest star on Dexter, she was a series regular 2) Defiance is not a very hit cable show..its middle of the road in rations 3) She was arguable MORE famous on Dexter than she is on Defiance.
ReplyDeleteI think we are thinking in the right vein though.
Random thought:
ReplyDeleteActress: Rutina Wesley
Married to a D- list actor
Actor: Rob Morrow
Two long running shows: Numbers and Northern Exposure (both 5 seasons)
She guest starred on Numbers right before she landed the role on True Blood.
David Boreanaz doesn't work because he's still married. "A few years ago while our actor was still married" implies that he's no longer married.
ReplyDeleteAshton Kutcher
ReplyDeleteI think this IS Michael C Hall, but the guest star is Jaimie Murray (aka Lila, Dexter's psychotic girlfriend). The show is Defiance on SyFy, and it is a huge "cult" hit- for her, this is definitely a big step up fame wise.
ReplyDeleteElla Bee I love your take on MCH but didn't Entry have him as a one hot wonder but a few days ago (forgetting about "6 Feet Under").
ReplyDeleteDid duchovny and Leoni divorce?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not the big Noth unless Rutina Wesley and he crossed paths at some point, LOL.
ReplyDeleteThe description of the A list actor fits Duchovny to a tee. Pretty sure it's him; is the show Californication? Who guested there a few years ago who is now a lead on a hit cable show?
ReplyDeleteI believe Enty hinted in the past that Duchovny and Leoni have quietly divorced.
@Trudi- . Yes. I just totally picture this as him. And maybe thought backup Enty wrote the other one....since they forgot about SFU.
ReplyDeleteJohn Stamos (Full House & ER, known to be a player)
ReplyDeleteLady could be ANYone, so many guest stars on ER.
Any guesses?
The woman on Justified who guest starred in Californication?
ReplyDeleteMichael C. Hall and Courtney Ford
