Ruben Studdard Is Going To Be On The Biggest Loser
Here was the problem with Celebrity Fit Club. For the most part the participants were interested in the paycheck and just didn't want to finish in last place. Other than that, most were not interested in listening to anyone tell them what to do or eat and only did the bare minimum. There were a few exceptions, but they were few and far between.
Ruben Studdard is headed to Biggest Loser. The former winner of American Idol is somewhere close to the 400 pound range. I think that when he gets on the scales it will be between 400 and 450. He obviously needs to do something so he can stay alive and it will be interesting to see if he treats this seriously or if he treats it like a paycheck. The Biggest Loser trainers and program is nothing like Celebrity Fit Club and I think if the producers tried to do a celebrity version of Biggest Loser it would never work because it would turn into a parody. I hope Ruben takes it seriously. It would be great to see him shed the weight and I think he would be an inspiration to a lot of people.
I hope he's successful.
ReplyDeleteI read his statement and he seemed very genuine about this. He had lost weight before, but gained some back after his divorce. He seemed very sincere. I love this show.
ReplyDeletegood luck to him. it is a lifestyle change, not just a diet or exercise change.
ReplyDeleteHe seems super-nice, so fans will root for him. He was just so humble that whole year on AI. Such a gentleman.
ReplyDeleteHe's a cutie.
ReplyDeleteHe really is, a major lose for chubby chasers.
DeleteI want to make you mine, slap yo fat behind, tie you down and make you whine. I want you to scratch my PIT and be my bitch.... cuz I luv you girl.
ReplyDeleteMeth. Adderall is fer betches.
ReplyDeleteWell this is a different tone (than the other blinds). Hope he does well.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the laugh, libbyonamobile.
I hope hat he actually goes through with it this time. When he first won Idol, they tried to get him to lose weight and he proved to be lazy and unmotivated. Hopefully, he will do better this time.
ReplyDeleteHe was the spokesperson for Scale Back Alabama at one time. I think he went vegetarian when he was married. I heard he gained it back after the divorce.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to him!
ReplyDeleteBL is the worst show ever. Thinking it promotes a healthy life style when participants are practically starving themselves, working out for 10 hours per day and forced to dehydration the day leading up to the weigh in, so they can have a dramatic weight loss for good ratings.
ReplyDeleteHe always seemed nice and normal enough. I wish him the best.
ReplyDeleteall the money this man has made, and he's 400 lbs?!
ReplyDeleteMoney has NOTHING to do with weight. FYI people who are overweight are malnourished and ILL. The food supply has been robbed of nutrients. Once you get hooked on the crap it is incredibly hard to stop.
ReplyDeleteI have been busting ass to get my health back and avoiding the toxic waste that is served everywhere is just about impossible.
He could have afforded a personal chef and workout coach when he first won but he went through a lot after his album and marriage failed. The bad food habit is a really challenging addiction to break but I think he will succeed this time.
He's divorced already? I admittedly no next to nothing about this gentleman, but I do remember seeing pics from his nuptials, and the wedding party had something like 50 or 60 people in it I think. Wonder how much that wedding cost, and how much the subsequent divorce set him back. He couldn't have been married more than 3 years. No wonder he ate, he prolly lost all of his AI money in all that mess.
ReplyDeleteI love Ruben--he's a sweet guy and it seems like he's struggled with weight most of his life.
ReplyDeleteWendy Williams talked about this today on her show and she recommended he lose the weight on this show, then when he is thin, parlay that into a spot on Dancing with the Stars and THAT to jump start his singing career.
I think people will like him--he is a sweet, humble guy--and I think in the past he was pretty athletic, so he probably will do well in this kind of weight loss program.
I hope he sings loud enough to drown out Jillian's rants.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to him. Tough thing to do, especially on TV.
