Randy Travis Sedated - Still In Critical Condition
It has been eight days since Randy Travis was admitted to the hospital with a virus which turned into congestive heart failure which has turned into a stroke which has led him to being sedated and doctors unsure of whether the country singer will live. They are still classifying his condition as critical and his family has been surrounding his bedside for almost the entire length of his visit. Country singers and musicians have been stopping by and playing music and singing songs, but so far there has been no change.

ReplyDeleteListen to that voice. I like old-school country only, and man, can Randy do a ballad. Makes me cry every time.
Such a waste of talent. I wonder what's keeping him hanging on?
ReplyDeleteYes, i bow to the count: poor bastard indeed.
ReplyDeleteI wanna be sedated... Nothing to do, nowhere to go-oooh! I wanna be sedated
ReplyDeletethis is so sad. i have seen him in concert four times. and i loved him. his voice is like NO OTHER.. He lives not to far from me either.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan, but this is super sad. :(
ReplyDeletePhenomenal voice, I hope he gets better.
ReplyDeleteAlways liked Randy Travis...I wonder if his health issues have anything to do with his substance abuse? I know he was clean for a while, but didn't he get arrested for DUI not too long ago? Wearing no pants?
ReplyDeleteWith great artistic talent comes great pain and depression, I feel bad for the guy.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to love you forever and ever forever and ever amen!
ReplyDeletePeace be with you Randy.
He had recently went through rehab and was doing better. He played a tribute to George Jones and called the song was called "Tonight I'm Playing Possum" and it was beautiful.

I like Randy, but the music and singing has to irritate the crap out of the hospital staff and other patients.
ReplyDeleteB Smears-The Ramones are to be played at my funeral. Pet Sematary of course.
Jenn, I thought the same thing.
ReplyDeleteDammit B. Smears! Now I can't get The Ramones out of my head.
ReplyDeleteLater update by his doctors and fiancee. He's conscious and, guess what, his condition was not caused by drugs or booze. And he will recover, they say, with lots of physical therapy.
