Marie Osmond's Talk Show Canceled

Did you know Marie Osmond had a talk show? I don't think i did. I knew there had been rumblings about one and I thought to myself that it was not the worst idea I ever heard. If you have me a choice between offering one to Marie Osmond or one to Jeff Probst, I would give one to Marie. Jeff's was toast awhile ago. Marie's has now been canceled too. Marie's aired on the Hallmark Channel which I always think of first when I think of talk shows. Of course it was doomed to fail there. I think of Hallmark Channel when I need to see some washed up former actor or actress trying to make a quick buck by playing in some sappy, not good enough for Lifetime made for television movie. New shows will continue to air through August before something else takes the place of Marie's show. The executives are thinking of showing NASCAR, because everyone looks for it on Hallmark.

  1. Ratings will always be low on Hallmark. UVerse has 890 channels, but does not carry it.

I blame that for the cancellation of Martha Stewart's show.

  7. Martha went to Hallmark after her syndicated show was cancelled.

I've never been a huge Marie fan--she seems very over the top and has kind of a manic energy that is hard to watch. Donnie kind of balanced her out but alone, I don't think I'd care for her as a host.

  8. I've watched her show quite a few times. Matter of fact, I DVR's it. She had on some very interesting guests. Her set was like her living room so you were invited into her "home". She really tried to promote "girl" power and positivity. The spirit of her show really was endearing.

My only criticism is her manic cackling when she laughed. Very annoying. Also her face seems to be settling in.

  11. There is something fake about Marie that she just seems like idk, like the girl who pretended to want to be your friend just so she could do something to make you look stupid or bad in front of other people. lacking sincerity maybe?

  12. How much did they airbrush that picture? Good lord her face!
And I agree Redd..She seems all sincere but I think there is something a little off about Marie. Can't quite put my finger on it. I don't believe she really fainted on DWTS.

  13. Hallmark is good for Frasier reruns and feel good movies during the holidays. It's funny when they bleep words like "ass" during Frasier.

  18. Tuc Watkins came out on her show. That's all I know about it, but that made me happy. Seriously? You don't know who David Vickers is?
