Well, that was certainly a fast 90 days. A very enjoyable 90 days. I have to say I did not miss seeing Lindsay Lohan in photos everyday or hearing about what guy paid the most to sleep with her one night or what person she hit with her car or listening to her whine about how unfair her life is and how everything goes against her and how it is not her fault she has spent millions of dollars in booze and substance related costs. It has been glorious. Not as glorious maybe as the almost total Kim Kardashian media blackout we have seen since the birth of North By Northwest, but pretty close. Now though, the peace and tranquility is gone. Shattered by the necessity of letting her out of rehab. And so it begins. I feel like there are a million cliches I could write, but they all just delay the inevitable. Lindsay is out of rehab and we are about to see a full court media blitz by her like no other. She is going to be everywhere and it is going to get very annoying very fast. Lindsay has hired a sober companion to stay with her the next dew days until Lindsay decides to ditch them to get her party on. I actually think Lindsay will be fine until she goes to Europe. It is there, surrounded by men who cannot get visas to pay for her in the United States, they will wine her and dine her and offer her drugs which she will accept and the whole vicious cycle will begin again.
Um...am I in the minority that I would like to see her actually succeed? Addiction is a vicious disease and, it would be nice if she conquered it. I am sure at one point people said the same about RDJ but, look at him now.

ReplyDeleteAs a drug addict (clean for now) I grant all of you the right to pick on people in spite of drug addiction. People hide behind illness or diagnosis to evade responsibility -- yes, addiction is an illness, but it doesn't wallpaper over one's misdeeds.
