Kate Middleton Is In Labor
Nothing like the whole world watching and waiting while you deliver a baby. That is exactly what it is like right now for that Duchess Of Cambridge person who used to be known as Kate Middleton. Did she get a choice in that name at all? What if she was more of an Oxford fan rather than Cambridge? Anyway, early this morning US time, Kate went to the hospital. She managed to get there without any photographers catching on which shows you that even when there are hundreds of them waiting, they can be outsmarted. Not even one photo of Kate on the way? If there had been one, it would have been worth a lot. of course, she was probably hidden anyway, so you could just publish a photo of a car and say she was in it.
I have absolutely no judgement about any woman's birth plan, but going into labor first thing the monday morning after your due date seems a bit coincidental to me.
ReplyDelete@cathy, no real coincidence. It's a full moon, that often will cause things to go into labor
Deletegood luck to her!
ReplyDeletePrayers for a safe delivery and a healthy child.

ReplyDeleteB Smears.
Hi, I'm Rach and I am not a trollaholic, but I have been a troll by posting extraneous (eg discussion of reach arounds, and Lilo's dental hygiene) and offensive (my language) posts
I won't apologize for this, 'cos we're all big kids who can handle some smutty linguistic obscenities. I'm Australian for fucks sake!
I am not Marcie or Big G or big bird or Patsy Biscoe.
I'm married. I live in Melbourne. I have post graduate quals and work in a professional role.
I have some yuck health issues that I'm hoping will resolve with my healthy vegan lifestyle, positive thinking, being a good person and medical Tx.
I am a dog person, but don't have a yard (city living) to keep one.
I've been in a few bands which never really went anywhere, and I love making my own clothes, jewelry (I heart Etsy) and am a pretty reasonable cook.
I'm not here to tear down or upset anyone.
I don't even know how to run my blog, so I haven't.
In between being stuck at home sick, watching copious amounts of tv, and looking up recipes, I am a loving wife, active member of the Greens party, and am a massive live music fan.
So lets start over. If you want to believe I'm Oprah, or one of the other characters on here, be my guest. My emotions, stress, medical issues and financial concerns got the better of me.
So fresh start, expect references to clunge, bottom burps & rusty trombones from me.
Any other accusations, or my very existence causing Anna and Sophie such vitriol and anguish, I cannot change.
Nice to meet you all, I'm Rach, and I'm sticking around as there's some hilarious and lovely people here. Also, this gives me mindless amusement and distraction from the icky things I face each day.
Fuck you very much!
Nice to meet you very much :-)
DeleteHi Rach

Hey Rubes and Marie. I just farted in the bath. Keeping it classy girls. X
Delete@Rach/B. Smears You're a funny lady. I agree with what others have said that some people here take the site seriously.
DeleteNice to meet you. Is the vegan thing new? I wish you success on it. I'm weak, after one day I'm pretty sure I'd start bite chunks out of the first cow I saw.
DeleteRach, this probably means that I will go back to being the designated "Marcie". FUCK!
DeleteHi Rach! welcome :)
DeleteGlad you decided to stick around!
DeleteHi all. Just in case that comment about taking the site seriously was about me, yeah I take personal attacks for no reason seriously.
DeleteRach/B. Smears, sorry to hear you have health issues. I have talked about my 30 year struggle. Vegan is good. Staying away from processed foods seems to be important.
And more important is to be aware that saying foolish smutty silly stuff is WAY different than some of the yucky vile personal attacks you have laid on this site. I personally am not the morality police but am very glad you decided to show up as YOU. It will be nice for you to be rude crude and funny-a welcome change.
I am always happy to be wrong about ANYTHING and I respect you very much for stepping out from behind the curtain.
Be well. Pink bubbles. Play on!
Trainrides, L and Gayeld: smooches! Miss Mess : no fuckin chance!
DeleteGayeld: been vegan nearly 10 years. Told my mum no more cheese & strasburg sandwiches when I was at school!
Delete@Rach/B Smears - Yay! So glad you stuck around. I think perhaps people were confused because your posting started around the time that this site had the huge troll infestation. Try not to take anything too personally from someone who sits anonymously behind a computer screen! Here's to you feeling AND getting better! :)
DeleteI went to the hospital the Monday after my due date for that routine nonstress test and fetal heart rate monitor just to make sure everything was still ok with baby, placenta, amniotic fluid. I had a full week before they would induce labor which I was glad I would have that long to go into labor on my own. During the ultrasound they found out the baby was breech. They told me I had to have a c-section and I may as well do it right then and there. So that's what we did. I was a little disappointed to not get a chance to experience labor but I'm so blessed to have such a beautiful, healthy baby girl. :)
ReplyDeleteRach, I didn't understand why there was such nastiest thrown your way. You never singled out anyone here. You made silly comments about the posts, like many do. Many people here have been personally attacked, so you are in good company :)
ReplyDeleteI think Kate will have a girl. Diana would've doted on her grandchild. It is sad that she is not here to see this.
Pip : seriously, thank you. I really just come for the posters comments and am not sure why I was the recipient of such wrath. Anyhows, it's all good & I'm being transparent so people can take it or leave it. Cheers sis for being a sweetie. X
Delete@Pip, I guess you did not see what I saw. We all have different filters. B. Smears often criticized and put down other posters for their opinions, and dismsised their right to say what THEY wished, on a public site. I simply called her out on that. If that makes ME crazy I will wear the crown proudly.
DeleteWon't go back & cut & paste the plethora of examples. If my 'rants' got her attention & she will tone it down then GREAT!
I call out unnecessary nastiness, as do others, ON OCCASION. Mostly I just post my opinion or respond to someone else's if they are silly or right on. If you even care, you can check me out. I ain't being arbitrary. Just don't like to let trolling go unchallenged WHEN IT IS A PERSONAL ATTACK.
Hope that clears up confusion on my motives. Outa here. All clear.
@ Cathy -
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what you are insinuating. What is the coincidence? (Not being a smartypants, just seriously not making a connection)
I wasn't expecting to be excited but I really am! Here's to a quick and painless-as-possible delivery of a healthy baby! I, too, feel sad that Princess Di isn't here for this...but she's watching.
ReplyDelete@Rach-who-used-to-be-B.Smears...nice to meet'cha!! I just love love love that you ended with 'fuck you very much'! I've been known to say that a time or 2...hundred! :)
Meanie: it's on my business cards. May be why I'm not getting clients,...
DeleteHi Rach I live in Melbourne too just not the Australian one :)
ReplyDeleteSandy : is there a Melbourne in the UK? Must google!
Delete@sandybrook.....could it be the one in FL?
Deletemelbourne fl? i'm from satellite beach
DeleteI'm in Melbourne Oz too Rach ;)

DeleteGelfling: let's have a beer at young & Jacksons!
DeleteRach, good to have you here. The person who was accusing you of being a troll is a bit unhinged, I think. She accuses anyone who says anything a little outrageous and funny to be a troll (especially people who call her out on her crap). You don't need to defend yourself. :)
ReplyDelete"a bit unhinged"
DeleteLol, good way to put it
;)
Thanks Kaz. You're a sweetie. X
DeleteMay her labor be short and complication free, and the baby be healthy.
ReplyDeleteRach--I loved your comments as B Smears. You made me laugh--a lot. Keep it up. Some people take things way too serious around here.
Audrey: cheers! If I'm ever lucky enough to be a mum, I want to name my daughter Audrey. X
DeleteBest wishes to Kate. If she has a girl, I hope she & Will name her Diana.
ReplyDelete@Rach - welcome! Though I do like your new name better than your old one, since any time I see the word "smear" it makes me think of going to the gynecologist.
ReplyDelete@Karrots - the reason I said that it seemed coincidental is because Monday mornings are a popular choice for scheduling to induce labor. Just an observation; I have no idea if that's what's going on here or not and even if it is, I would have no judgement on that. I mean, there are people camped out at the hospital, not going to work and enduring whatever weather comes their way, just waiting for this baby to be born.
Cathy: yeah "smears" conjures up a lot of poopy images. Xx
DeleteHey, Rach - no worries, lady! I've been around here long enough to know that the best thing you can do to combat the crazy is to just scroll on past. You've always been lovely and funny - keep on doin' what you're doin'! Cheers and Happy Monday :-).
ReplyDeleteFrufra; got my wanking finger on the ready to scroll. Xx
Delete@Ruby it could :)
ReplyDeleteI lived in Palm Bay for a few years
DeleteCountdown county, whoo-hooo
I thought you were funny Rach, glad to know more about you!
ReplyDelete@ Cathy: I hope she has a good and easy labor too, but I couldn't help thinking that she waited for Monday when she'll induce to receive more press than delivering on the weekend. Either way, hope it all works out for her!
Pink: smoooooooch!
DeleteHow ironic. She's in labor as I sit in the pre op waiting to have a d&c for a missed miscarriage. I wish them the best
ReplyDelete@Amy - big hugs and lots of thoughts and energy to you - been there.. no words. xxxx
DeleteKia kaha, Amy in MI. love and light. X
DeleteHugs. So very sorry for your loss. Hope the healing is swift and your heart is cuddled well and deeply.
DeleteThat really sucks Amy. I hope you have good supports around you. X
DeleteSorry to hear, Amy -- Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI just really really hope that she didn't get pressured to induce. With my first baby, I was 10 days late but planned my labor/birth to be at a freestanding birth center and they absolutely never had induction in mind. I went on a Sunday but it was a false alarm...so went back home and then returned early Monday morning when my contractions were happening regularly and gradually closer together. I gave birth around 2:30pm.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to her! Hope everything goes smoothly!
ReplyDeleteI doubt it's a c-section. Baby would be out by now.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually on top of comments. I have to read them when I get home from work but missed the accusatory troll one. Can someone point me to the thread it's in? I'm just curious. Nosy. Maybe a little bored and lazy at work currently.
ReplyDeleteI don't even remember which one and apparently now it is ME who is the troll. If you are so bored check out a couple months worth of RARE comments by me taking B. Smears to task bc she was being nasty & arrogant & mean to other posters. Call me crazy. Call it a rant.
DeleteI am done with it.
Oh cool two cool people actually live here and technically I'm Melbourne but my address says Indialantic :)
ReplyDeleteSandy: Melbourne is the BEST city in da world.
DeleteIf you say by 5th Ave beach access, I will be super jealous.
ReplyDeleteI moved away years ago, but that was my fave spot!
Lol
So sorry, Amy. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHugs Amy, thinking of you today.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to the Parents and the baby! We are having a Baby Naming contest in our family/friends group everyone who wanted to play submitted 4 boy names and 4 girl names by text. We will reveal the winner at a family/friends dinner mid-August where I will award cheap tacky horrible prizes to the winners.
ReplyDeleteBabies!
ReplyDeleteHey there Rach!
So sorry Amy. Wishing you the best.
I'm by Canova Beach Ruby I live on Eau Gallie Blvd.
ReplyDelete@Sandybrook.....I know exactly where that is--you live not far at all from my BFF
ReplyDelete((waves))
Thank you for all the thoughts. Procedure went fine. The they had to do more blood work afterwards and couldn't find a vein to get blood from. An hour later they art sticked me. The anesthesiologist felt so horrible for me they gave me more versed and dilaudid. This whole day has sucked donkey balls.
ReplyDeleteAt least ill always remember the date it happened due to the birth of Kate and Williams boy. Sometimes things aren't meant to be.
@Amy. Doesn't mean they don't still suck. Worse that it is on a day that sticks out. Get lots of hugs from those around you and punch the first asshole who tells you "Better luck next time (or the equivalent)" hard in the face.
Delete#BeenThereDoneThatStillSucks.
Thanks Gayeld...
