Jason Wahler Attempted Suicide Multiple Times
Former Hills star, Jason Wahler gave an interview to In Touch this week and in it said he had tried to commit suicide multiple times. I remember him admitting he was an alcoholic, but I don't remember anything about him attempting suicide. He said, "I tried taking my life multiple times. About four years ago, I took more than 10 Antabuse and was rushed to the hospital. It should’ve killed me." I have no idea if that would kill someone or not. Perhaps some of our medical professionals could advise. I think it is great that he is opening up about it. I think now he can help others who are also feeling suicidal. Wahler says he has been sober for three years now.
Leave Jason alone!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's meant to be irksome, but I'm seriously finding it funnier as it goes along. I'm hysterical with sleep deprivation, though.
DeleteI salute anyone who is open about their addiction struggles, especially a celebrity who has a wider audience. It really can help others. Good for him, and best of luck to him.
ReplyDeleteWhat Figgy said, good for him for being honest and opening up about it, that way he can help others struggling in the same situation not feel so alone.
ReplyDeleteNever heard about him. I hope he gets better, though.
ReplyDeleteIs the Hills still on the air?
ReplyDeleteFeeling dumb here but what is an antabuse?
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing. Had to google it. Apparently it helps with alcohol abuse
DeleteAntabuse makes you physically ill if you drink alcohol.

DeleteYou can overdose on nearly anything, but the answer to can you OD on Antabuse? YESSSS!! Actually fairly easily, it is a strong med that has quite a few contradictions with alcohol and other prescriptions. Respiratory failure/coma, etc. I wish him well, he truly has been given a 2nd, 3rd, or whatever, chance.
ReplyDeleteNo one cares.
ReplyDeleteI never watched The Hills. My only knowledge of him comes from entertainment sites and TMZ. And all I remember are stories about a douchebag who was arrested several times and there were numerous occasions when he shouted racist and gay slurs at people. I think the world needs less people like Jason Wahler.
ReplyDeleteWahler is a fantastic douchebag and has a history of terrible behavior while drunk. But damn he's a cutie.
ReplyDeleteHe still does it for me.
ReplyDeletejason is a cutie even though he did give himself a bad rep. I hope he continues his sobriety and and a reunion with LC in the future.
ReplyDeleteGood for him, I'm happy he is sobering up and speaking out. It's awesome that he's found a place of healthy peace in his life. Rock on
ReplyDeleteWell apparently it does lovely. And it makes you post a lot. In a row.
ReplyDeleteSame thing.
I'm glad it's working for you.
I loved him on Celebrity Rehab. Hope he stays sober...
ReplyDeleteRemember when he was on the celebrity rap superstar show?
ReplyDeleteThe thing about being a non-sociopathic douchebag (or the term I prefer: 'misanthrope') is as I explained to a former friend who was cutting me off "Well, to tell the truth, I don't blame you, but don't be so pissed about it. As hard as it can be to be around me sometimes, I have to be around me 24/7 and when no one else is around, the asshole voice in my head is screaming at me alone."
ReplyDeleteI pretty much minimize the damage by giving up having a social life and keeping myself occupied with solitary work and personal projects. It means being essentially celibate and alone, but there are worse things, I find.
Anyways, I can empathize. I don't excuse though.
Have you ever looked into High Functioning Autism/Aspergers? Both my husband and I score high on that chart. I agree-better to spend time alone than annoy the muggles...
DeleteHate to admit it, but I thought he did commit suicide. Who the hell am I thinking of then?
