I loved him in everything but one of my favorites, because it was a different part for him, was That Old Feeling w/ bette midler. UGH so sad.

Does this make the 3rd in the hollywood dies in 3's ? Dennis, Cory and Gandolfini? Cause people need to stop passing away damn it.

  33. Another Manhunter fan here! I think that was the first time I ever saw Dennis Farina (or maybe it was Miami Vice, Michael Mann used him in both). Dennis Farina is one of my favorite actors of all time. Rest in Peace.

  38. I'm really sad about this. I really enjoyed seeing him play Nick's dad on New Girl this past season. Nick's dad died but they brought him back for a flashback episode; I was looking forward to more flashback episodes with Mr. Farina. :(
Anyway, the folks at New Girl must be reeling; first Cory, who shared the network with them, and now Mr. Farina.

  39. Blood clots don't come from smoking. They travel to the lungs from other parts of the body. I ended up with a blood clot in my leg and spent 18 months on blood thinners and had a screen inserted to prevent it from traveling to my lungs.
The poor guy probably did not know he had a blood clot.
My father in law had one that traveled into his optic nerve and blinded him.

I can't believe I forgot he was in manhunter- i still believe that is a far superior version of the book it was based on.
