Dennis Burkley is one of those faces and voices that was familiar to you and that you would recognize in an instant, but no one probably ever knew his name. Burkley was in so many movies and television shows and generally played a guy from the south with a beard. In his later years he was most famous for being on My Name Is Earl and starring as Principal Moss on King Of The Hill. The actor passed away in his sleep on Sunday. He was 67.
I recognised him instantly but wouldn't have been able to guess his name. He was good.

ReplyDeleteI had no idea this dude was Principal Moss too. He was in EVERY show of my childhood at some point, I think. He showed up everywhere, certainly because he was always great.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for his family and friends. However, what a great legacy to leave behind. To work steadily in the industry from the 70s? Remarkable. We should all be as fortunate. Rest in peace, you certainly deserve it brother.
