Blind Items Revealed

September 24, 2012

This actress is B list. She does television and movies and has been in this spot before. Over the past few months she has been trying to reach out and make friends, which is something she has never had before. As she does reach out, they are pretty much immediately betraying that friendship and gossiping their little hearts out because what our actress has to say is amazing. The reason she says that she does not have any friends and sits at home without any with her every night is because when she was first starting to hit it big in Hollywood she was with guys right away. Actors, directors, producers. All men. They all wanted a piece of her and she believed what they had to say. To a man they were all also very controlling of her and jealous and many would beat her if she talked to another man. They considered her their property. She said that a few years of that treatment kind of took over and she was also not allowed to go out much on her own because of the jealousy factor so never really met other women except on sets and those friendships would be great on set but would end just as soon as shooting did. Now, she does not really have a man in her life. She has someone else though. No, not a woman. Other women have tried to befriend her but her social skills with women are awkward. She says that she is not even sure how she should pose with other women. She is afraid to go out much because of her drinking. She does it at home. She says she only gets drunk at home during certain times and is very safe, but when she goes out, she doesn't feel restricted and knows that is when she gets in trouble. She says that she has panic attacks about getting drunk and doing something stupid. She has had flings with all kinds of guys and knows when she drinks it does not matter if they are married or not or attractive or not, and that she has already had one life changing experience because of her drinking and does not want another.

  1. Being with a controlling man can absolutely alienate you from your friends and family. After a while its easy to forget how to make friends and socialize in a healthy way. This is sad gossip.

  2. Wow this actually makes me feel sorry for her

  3. This is sad, but even sadder are the women who gossip over these confidences instead of doing the right thing and keeping their big bazoos closed. Shame on them!

  4. You can kind of see it though - she seems frigid in real life, not just on screen. It's terrible that she got into those ruts with men who exploited her self esteem and confidence issues.

She seems to be a good mom and it sounds like she is very careful to drink in a way that isn't going to impact her son (although I'm not sure how drinking at home when her kid is there fits that category).

I remember pics of her stumbling home on a few walks of shame... Too bad.

  5. I bet Ashton was one of the controlling ones.

  6. As someone who has panic attacks I actually feel sorry for JJ.

  7. this makes me sad too. and how ugly that the people she reaches out to are so two-faced. that sucks.

    hugs, january.

  8. Another reminder to not judge people, you don't know what shit they've been thru. Oh I'm not saying past trauma is an excuse for bad behavior. But here we have someone who is trying to be responsible about her drinking and being a mother, and her cold exterior and lack of female friends can now be understood more.

  9. I hope she can find some true friends and a decent man, but she'll probably have to leave Hollywood to do so.

Does anyone else have trouble seeing what it is about her that drives men so crazy? I don't have a TV, so I have never seen her in anything but still pictures, and I just don't see what the attraction is...not that she isn't a very pretty lady, just that this makes it seems like she is insanely beautiful and I wouldn't call her that.

    Is it more her personality/vibe??

  10. I've always liked her. Take away the actress part of the story and it's absolutely, in every other way, been my life.

  11. too bad she still feels the need to drink----sounds too problematic for her at home or not....

  12. I guarantee you she was molested as a child. I hope she gets help.

    1. I completely agree with your statement. I have known way too many victims of sexual molestation who exhibit the same pattern of behavior. It truly is sad but hopefully she gets help and stops involving herself with unavailable men.

  13. SHE IS NOT A SLUT.
HI! MY NAME IS JUDGEMENTAL PANTS.
Sheesh, she's making mistakes thar she will eventually pay for. Why not just wish positive vibes (and wisdom) her way?

  14. So Ashton would be considered one of those assholes that abused her in some sense?

  15. God I can relate. I know exactly how she feels. Females are so hard to befriend, you guys dont even realize. Its so hard to figure girls out even though I am one myself.

I agree, guys don't get it. Ladies are tough to be friends with!

  16. @Tammy. Am with you, have only seen X-Men and Law & Order and don't see it. Perhaps it's the innocent look?

  17. This explains a lot, and it's very sad.

Tammy, I think she's quite lovely with a very classic beauty about her. Very Grace Kelly, actually. That said, I've only seen her in "Mad Men," and I've heard that her acting range is limited, i.e. she's playing herself as Betty (and this blind kind of corroborates that).

  18. Wow. Sad. No wonder she never really looks relaxed or happy.

  19. Making friends as an adult woman in a competitive, looks-based field would be hard anyway, without the psychological aspects.

Me too. And it really sucks. I relate to this post very much. Especially the freezing up part.

  21. It almost makes me feel sorry/sad for her. Then I think she is sleeping with someone elses husband and it's hard to blame that on a bad childhood or poor relationship choices. I don't excuse that behavior at all. Wrong is wrong.

  22. well this blind reveal just completely helped JJ. I, like everyone else now have some empathy for her and feel bad.

She was also one of Jack Nicholson's girls...he likes young fresh off the bus girls...he wants them to come to him & become dependent on him...Between him & Ass-hat

  24. @dee, she's very good on Mad Men. Very cold, ice queen but cracking underneath.

This blind is sad. As she does reach out, they are pretty much immediately betraying that friendship and gossiping their little hearts out... And then goes on to do just that - slut-shaming, talking about her drinking and panic attacks, talking about her being beaten up by boyfriends. I do feel bad for her, she's in the wrong business for secret keeping.

@Silly Girl, wrong is wrong, I agree. But like @Bacon Ranch pointed, she's making a lot of bad decisions predicated by those crappy things and she's paying for them. Someone else's husband made that decision, too, and no one's called him out.

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Seven, if we knew who he was, we'd be calling him out for sure!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Women may be tough to be friends with, but they don't beat you up usually.

Man, this is sad. Poor thing.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I feel bad for her too. I never boarded the hate train because something about her eyes always made me think there's more to her story. Glad this came out.

    ReplyDelete
  28. January - call me! I will totally hang out with you and not judge the drinking or share your secrets!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I can totally understand where she's coming from. I can't even hate on her for her serial affairs (glass house, and all), and it seems like she's tried to settle down and take responsibility. That's a good thing.

  30. Sucks!!!! I love January Jones. She is fabulous as Betty Draper. I am quite pissed that she did not get an Emmy nom this go-around, especially for the eppy in which she Don Drapered Don Draper.

Hopefully, she finds peace in her baby. I wonder if the father is in the child's life?

The one thing January Jones has is mystery, which is sorely lacking from today's celebs, IMO.

  31. she dated Josh Groban for a few years. I really can't see him beating a woman for going out on the town without him.

I just hope she lets her son have a life as he grows up and she doesn't center her world around him. Hello Norman Bates.

  32. As Emma Frost, she looked the part, at least. She's very ...subdued and aloof in that role.

Maybe she's shy. Some people who are use alcohol to help with that. Sad though. She's pretty when she smiles.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Jason Sudeikis dumped her because she said she wanted a baby and he didn't. I think that's their story. I could be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lots of women over 33 have trouble making girlfriends (social situations just change), but this takes it to another level cause she is famous and probably wouldn't trust people.
She can afford therapy and I hope she gets a hold of her drinking problem.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I've always loved her character Betty, and she seems nice enough in the couple interviews I've seen her in. I hope she can find a nice guy or gal who isn't controlling or gossipy to hang with.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yeah I'm 35 and while I do have a few close girlfriends, my closest are men. Of course I dated both men and of didnt work out but I made some great friends. And they made friends too lol

    ReplyDelete
  37. Women who hate other women are pathetic. Guaranteed the reason you don't have female friends is because you treat men better than you treat women.

And this BI sounds like a paid PR piece, made to appeal to fraus and simps.

  38. This coming from a girl who said, "The bitches in high school were bitches because I was pretty."?

    Yeah, seems legit

Not sure I'm buying this reveal. She dated Josh Groban for 3+ years and then some lawyer not from Hollywood right after him. I can't see Josh Groban being controlling or abusive.

    1. Do you know him? Have you been in a relationship with him? Then you have no idea. Domestic abusers don't typically wear it on their sleeves.

I've met Josh a few times socially. Obviously I have not been in a romantic relationship with him so you have a valid point. I just stated I couldn't see him doing that.
