Blind Items Revealed

This former almost A list all movie actress now struggles to find any work and part of it has to do with the fact that she has a little bit of crazy in her. At an event this week she was walking around the event in a fur coat and apparently nothing else. During cocktails she kept walking up to people and telling them she was naked under her fur and did they want to see. She did the same thing during dinner while also refusing to drink anything other than what she brought in a flask.

ReplyDeleteThis is just sad. Did it really need to be revealed? Liza in the day had more talent in her pinkie than most of today's "singers" have in their entire bodies.

@juicy: She was definitely A-list, bot ALMOST, 40 years ago, but imo there are precious few A-List-for-life contenders. My idea of A-list (just now, not for life) is that if your name is attached to a project, producers will bank roll it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but Liza passed that point 30-40 decades ago. Too much booze and pills, dumb marriages, etc. If she could open a movie on her own, she wouldn't have been playing a supporting role on Arrested Development.
If Kim Kardashian is today's A list, than Liza is A list for life. Just like her Mom - no, wait Judy is A plus list for life, just like Elvis and Sinatra and Bing.
DeleteNo, @Bailey. Jamie is right, Liza passed her prime. No one even mentions Judy anymore, you cannot categorize her with Elvis and the rest you mentioned. If you don't understand why/how Kim is unfortunately A list (for now) then you don't understand listings at all.

She's outlived her mother by 20 years. That in itself is an accomplishment.

And outliving your mother by 20 years hardly counts as an accomplishment if said mother died of an OD at a young age. It may have been a struggle for LM, but it's a personal accomplishment, not a professional one.
Am I being unreasonable here? Liza can't open a movie. Producers probably have trouble getting insurance on her. I know she's a gay icon with celeb pals but she's not A-list.
Jamie I must agree. But then I have never seen her appeal and I find her voice dreadful. Apologies to all my gay friends.

ReplyDeleteThis just goes to show why people are mostly wrong on blinds (even if most blinds are BS). Unless it says specifically that the blind was set in the past, you can't guess someone who's listing is completely different now. Their listing to you in your head is not their listing to the rest of the world.
