What to do when your parents and me weekly activity group is invaded by a celebrity? On Saturday this A list singer with a great voiuce and her celebrity husband took their kid to play at an activity group. This is a regular group but the celebrity parents decided since they were around that there needed to be special rules. Parents who usually take photos and videos of their children were told they would not be able to this time because some parent might try and take a photo of the celebrities. The woman who runs the group was threatened by an assistant to the celebrity to make sure that every parent complied.
Alicia Keys/Swiss Beatz
Yawn
ReplyDeleteHeaux please, don't no one wants to snap picture of you unless you decide to dump your man-merkin-beard and finally embrace your full on lez.
ReplyDeleteGot to live pretentious ass celebs...
ReplyDeleteLove
DeleteMan, I'm just dying to have a photo of Alicia Keys.
ReplyDeleteNot.
This is the first time I've snorted IRL at the usage of the word "NOT" since Wayne's World was relevant.
DeleteAlicia keys was at my mommy group this morning!!
DeleteWho?
I wouldn't have recognized either one.
ReplyDeleteWell, I might have confused Swizz Beats (??) with Toucan Sam and asked for a free sample of Froot Loops.
Perfect! Lol...
DeleteWell she doesn't have a problem being videotaped drunk at a restaurant in public so I'm not sure why the "security" measures are in place. A friend was eating at Matt's in Dallas and she came in fucked up drunk and not only did she not mind when he pulled out his cel phone and started filming - she hammed it up for the camera. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen and you find probably on FB.
ReplyDeleteIn their defense, maybe they didn't want them selling pics. If this was some beloved couple, you would have been falling over each other with respect for privacy comments.
ReplyDelete+1, people are like leeches with celebrities. Just let them mingle, stop recording every damn life moment
DeleteStupid asses. Their kids are unfortunately going to be fucked up. Sad.
ReplyDeleteIf they were threatening me, I'd tell them to find another play group. Their whole relationship smacks of bullshit anyway.
ReplyDeleteI don't buy this.
ReplyDeleteSomeone I know worked with her on a couple of covers for the late Suede Magazine. She said Alicia was a sweetheart to deal with.
Except for the whole, you know, steal a married man from his family thing. I'm sure she's lovely. Or actually I know the type of shit she put Mashonda Dean through and I do not and will not ever like her as a person. Maybe some of her songs are good. She had such talent Nd did not need to go the producer-fucker route. Ugh
DeleteIt wasn't Alicia or Swizz doing the threatening. And no, Secondbecky. On this planet, men are not stolen. They leave willingly and from my knowledge, Mashonda isn't an innocent party in any of it.
DeleteIt's nice to see these two are taking steps to ensure their offspring has a normal childhood experience. And that is clearly an excellent assistant - I'll bet he/she also tackles other toddlers so the little Beatz gets all the best stuff from piƱatas and cuts holes in the mask so the tail can be placed as close to the donkey's ass as possible (the party game, not the parent).
ReplyDeleteeyeroll. no one even knows who the hell your loser husband is.
ReplyDeleteWHY do people cater to bozos like this? Had I been the one running the play group, I would have told them that nothing was changing and that they were free to leave. Why waste your time with losers?
ReplyDeleteDoubt it. Mommies are a special breed of people that do not put up BS. I guarantee they would have been shown the door the second that BS started.
ReplyDeleteIf u call "bullshit" on so many of these, may I ask then, WHY do u read them?
DeleteOr is it just to let the rest of us know how dumb we are??
Either way, it makes u seem like u suck lemons all day, everyday.
Then don't take your kid to the group. Why should others have to make allowances for you stupid celebrity crap?
ReplyDeleteAin't neither of them that important to make up special for themselves at someone elses astablishment in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI would have told them I was filming my child anyway. Legally they can't stop me. Then what? They leave? Ok. Buh bye.
ReplyDeletesilly behavior, I would also just film my kids, and tell them to deal with it, or leave the group. Isn't this a bearding relationship though? Isn't that the reason why she went for the whole other woman angle?
ReplyDeleteWhat Sherry said. Then call every mother you know to boycott any place that caters to an overly egotistical, low-rent one-off celeb over the more valuable regular clientele. idiots
ReplyDeleteI worked on The Nanny Diaries and the wardrobe women hated Alicia with a passion - she was so uptight and fussy and fought them on every wardrobe decision - funny, considering how she walks around and performs in some verrrrry unflattering outfits! Plus this was The Nanny Diaries - normal, every day clothing, imagine they were dressing her for something fancy?
ReplyDeleteIt's no wonder you really didn't see her in movies after that - yeah, she couldn't act for sh*t, but word of her stank attitude blew her acting career worse.
Where was this? Jerusalem, Los Angeles?
ReplyDeleteA few years back she appeared at a music festival in the Far East. All the other appearing artists over the weekend quite happily signed items that were to be auctioned for a good cause afterwards.
ReplyDeleteExcept one.
Only one artist demanded a stretch limo from the hotel to the site (it wouldn't have fitted up the winding road anyway). Most of the others were happy getting in regular cabs.
Oh, and no-one knew who the fuck she was either. In fact when she was on (A Stage natch), most eyes turned towards the act on the B Stage.
Not. A. Fan.
