Blind Items Revealed

March 22, 2013

This B list celebrity has had some issues with sex in the past. To make sure there are no complications, when a woman agrees to go to bed with him he conjures up an agreement that she signs and also is videotaped agreeing to have sex with the celebrity.

    1. If he'd stop unzipping his pants and pulling the women's scarves out, he might not have as many problems.....wait, yes he would.

  4. I read that several other celebrities do the same thing for fear of being accused of rape.

  5. Yeah, Ted used to talk about stars using contracts all the time.

  6. I think it's rather responsible of them. It's a good idea and if you sign it, you consent. What's the issue here?

  7. How very Burt Wonderstone of him!

    1. That is EXACTLY what I thought of. When I saw the movie and this scene came up, I wondered whether it was a snark towards Copperfield.

  8. Nothing like signing a legal document while being filmed to bring humidity to the southlands.

  9. @Kels, I agree. The groupie is protected from forced sex from the celebrity, and the celebrity is protected against untrue accusations from the groupie. I would do the same thing if I were in his shoes.

I was told once that Chuck Berry has been doing this for decades. Any lady who gets with him has to be photographed nude, sitting on his lap, giving him a kiss. Hard to argue you were pressured into sex afterwards, although I suppose it would be possible.

  10. To be really safe, he should have the girl consent on camera and keep the camera rolling for the entire act so that she later can't say that she changed her mind when the camera went off, but he wouldn't let her stop.

  12. @Nutty_Flavor, what if the woman in question wants to have sex with the guy, says on camera that she wants to have sex, he turns the camera off and then it turns out that he wants to do something too kinky for her? She could take back her consent and he could still rape her.

I would assume that a guy who cares this much about not having issues would NOT rape a woman, but that's an example of how just video consent is probably not enough to save his ass.

    1. @Karen, you're right about this, but date rape is difficult to prove under the very best circumstances. I would be surprised to see prosecutors take a case where there was written and filmed consent, and the consentee is clearly sober. There would have to be a great deal of physical evidence of assault before the celebrity could be charged, but it does happen! Look at Bot George. There was no signed consent there, but the victim was open about being a paid escort for George. George chained him to the radiator without his consent and ended up going to jail for several months.

    2. Boy George, of course.

  13. Would this be the same Chuck Berry that was charged with placing video cameras in Ladies toilets??

I'd say he might not be the best source to cite in this case, didn't seem like he had the hang of the whole "consent to film" thing

    1. @Talks, I agree. Chuck was kind of kinky. Wonder if that's why his nostalgia value hasn't been as high as, say, Little Richard.

  15. I still can't get over he was married to Claudia Schiffer...

  16. He prolly had some rape accusations in the past with females. He's just covering his ASSets . There are way too many x-factors when dealing with females on the booty call level

  18. Nothing says romantic like having to sign a disclosure.

  19. How very romantic!

And Senor - I don't think he was married to Claudia Schiffer - I think they were just engaged for ages.

  20. I don't blame the guy after. After being accused of rape, he's probably a little less willing to jump in bed without some insurance.
